really cute desktop idler that doesn't have any accidental memory leaks and just wreaks havock on your system, it really does just, keep you company as you do stuff! Love the art style, it has nice music when i choose to have it on, and has a lot of options so you can crank it up real fancy if you want to.
fun game, i like having it in the corner while i work
Fun game to have running when leaving to go somewhere, kind of acts like a little reward.

Fun Idle game
Great To Put In The Background While I Do Other Things
I’m really enjoying Desktop Detective. It’s the kind of game that’s perfect to have running in the background while I’m working on my own indie game, Eucalyptus Edge: MegaBlast Mayhem. I’ll be coding, testing, or working on art and then glance over at Desktop Detective to collect something, upgrade my character, check my gear, or see what unlocked. Then somehow I’m back a few minutes later doing it again. 😂 The progression loop is seriously addicting without demanding all of your attention, which is exactly what makes it work so well as a desktop game. It gives me something fun to check in on during little breaks while I’m doing game development, and it never feels like it’s getting in the way. Really clever concept, really satisfying progression, and definitely one of those “just one more upgrade” games. Highly recommended especially if you spend a lot of time at your computer and want something fun running alongside whatever you’re working on. 🕵️
i would say this a fun game for sure. The game is advertised to be in the background however most of my playthrough i was micro managing everything. dont get me wrong im not saying it is necessary by any means you can just leave it and let it stack up. most of the negative comments ive seen about the game is the dreadful end game but the devs heard the fans and fixed it quick. i just got to end game when they dropped the update so i never had complaints personally. Even though im done with the game i can definitely see myself replaying if they made a big update or even a dlc. 9/10 idle clicker
If you like casual games you should play it but the game does crash much
Fun little idle game! Still early game around 10 hours in, enjoying watching my little guy wander around solving mysteries.
