Descenders Next

Ich war sehr skeptisch, da mir Descenders sehr gut gefällt (650 Stunden +) und ich mir eigentlich wieder Bikes gewunschen hätte, wurde aber positiv von Next überrascht. Die Devs sind sehr bemüht und es findet ein guter Austausch mit ihnen auf reddit statt! Klare Empfehlung! I was very skeptical at first, since I really love Descenders (650 hours +) and I was actually hoping for bikes again, but I was pleasantly surprised by Next. The developers are really dedicated, and there’s a great community discussion with them on Reddit! Highly recommended!

Bought this immediately cause I loved the first one and was pretty disappointed, came back recently though and it's in pretty good shape now. Team Kinetik rules. Gotta go fast.

really loved this game as well as the og descenders. Only major issues i've come across is after one major update all of my medal for the parks were reset. IDK if this was a wipe the devs did on purpose (haven't been to caught up with what they're doing) but i still have all of my steam achievements that you get from clearing the parks. If anyone knows why this happened or a fix please lmk.

I can feel how hard the devs worked to make Next feel the way that it is. This game had some rough bugs for a while after it launched, I couldn't even finish a run without my characters model breaking or the UI leaving me frozen from progression mid run. My primary way of playing was in a lobby with my friends, and every time we tried, the game would break at spring blossoms. I tried again recently, now that the ring of fire update has come out, and its feels like the bugs have been squashed and I can actually appreciate this game for what it is now. I have hundreds of hours in the OG Descenders and have been popping back in to Next from time to time to see if its actually playable yet, and I have to say, its finally time to get shredding.

reviewing while in early access. a really well thought out sequel to descenders. i've only scratched the surface, but the gameplay is familiar while the tricks, courses and boards add new mechanics. while i'm not completely convinced by the balancing of boss jumps (the difficulty spike on biome 4 of snow board career seems out of place). overall a solid early access title that is getting regular updates. if you liked the original, you'll like the sequel.
