Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4/day in the week to Jul 21 → 28.4/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Drive massive trains across beautiful, challenging landscapes. Deliver cargo between industries, spread over an open world. Earn money, buy new licenses and advance your career as a train engineer, all in seamless, emergent experience. For PC and VR.

256 km² of unrestricted open world, where you can walk or drive trains uninterrupted. Covered in rich vegetation, landscape, water bodies, and an extensive railroad network, the world spans numerous diverse industries and towns. Experience seamless day and night cycles, with dynamic clouds, fog, rain and sounds spicing it all up. Change switches, drive, haul and leave trains at desired locations - the choice is yours.

Advance your career by taking deliveries and earning money. Master efficient driving and look after vehicles to minimize fuel and repair costs. Buy new items and licenses that grant you access to more vehicles and orders. Optionally, you can also play in sandbox mode where economy is not in focus - where you can just have fun doing anything you want without consequences.

Take part in a dynamic industrial chain, where deliveries are procedurally generated for more than 80 cargo types. The output of locations varies, and almost no two deliveries are the same. Haul cargo between industries, or do the shunting and logistics that help the stations create more deliveries. Pick orders and move cargo as desired, according to your own plans, licensing and hauling capacity.

Experience in-depth intricacies of six realistic, accurate steam and diesel locomotive classes with varying transmission types, plus some extra vehicles. Through behavior, sounds, physics and interaction, their characteristics are designed to fully immerse and challenge you. On top of that, you'll find yourself spontaneously involved in coupling, servicing, brake securing, shunting and other railroad procedures.

As a side activity, you may find yourself investing time and money finding and restoring unique locomotive variant derelicts, which you can then customize with numerous useful gadgets. Gadgets are various devices that can improve driving performance, such as digital speedometers, clinometers, colored ambient lights, distance trackers, etc. You can buy them in shops and install them wherever you want, using various tools.

Built from the ground up for both PC and VR, Derail Valley lets you experience it spatially present with the supported mainstream PC VR devices - truly inside the simulator and using your own hands to operate the controls. This is the ultimate, closest experience to being a real railroader! You can seamlessly alternate your progress between the PC and VR sessions, as you prefer.

Be it a derailment, collision, blown traction motor, boiler explosion, brake failure, HAZMAT disaster or even something as mild as wheelslip on a rainy slope, Derail Valley doesn't just present you with a popup screen when you make a mistake - you get to experience the full consequences of your actions, even if they're a rare occurrence.
Whether you are new to trains or an experienced veteran, the game features tutorials that are quick to get you going. A comprehensive user manual also exists, for when you want to dive deep into the details.

Nagyon valós!!
I had played Train Sim World for 150 hours and especially enjoyed the commuter train operations, but I saw DRV during the Steam sale and am glad I decided to buy it. The freight operations and jobs are really enjoyable. But after almost 50 hours in, I decided to try it with my Quest and was blown away. It is way more immersive and plays like a different game. It has been slightly more glitchy, but overall, well worth the setup.
Add more train engine like american and Indian
docela dobrý
это конечно не особо тянет на симулятор честно но впринцепи норм игра
For context, I've pretty much only played Derail Valley in VR. I also have many many more hours than it shows here, because at first I played this game from another account and decided finally on the latest sale it was time to own it for myself. There are a lot of reviews from train aficionados giving this game their stamp of approval. So, the crazy thing is I actually don't care one bit about trains. I don't have an interest in them and never did. I think it speaks volumes that Derail Valley, through force of will of wanting to simulate trains so accurately, even manages to capture the attention of non-train-people like me. It's just too well done to ignore. I can't really describe why it's so compelling, but actually operating a train on a long journey is always interesting. Especially in VR. Gently pulling the levers to modulate my speed, apply brakes, turning dials to sand the rails ahead of me for grip, etc. On long stretches with less input required, you get to really just enjoy the vibes of looking out the window and even feel a bit sleepy listening to the sounds of the wheels on the track and the engine running. When it's raining, you see super realistic rain running down the windows and when the cabin is all sealed up, you could basically just curl up and go to sleep in the headset if you brought the train to a stop. The only thing that's a little stressful is that because (currently) this is a "dead" world, you have to be the conductor and dispatch; nobody is there to flip signals for you so you just have to pay attention and be ready to hit them yourself. From what I understand, in the real world you would never have to do something like this yourself. Dispatchers would handle making sure you're going to the right place. I imagine in the future, as the world gets filled with people and other AI-operated trains and such, automatic dispatching and signal flipping will also be a thing. If I had any complaints about the current state of Early Access (subject to change of course), it's really just that the VR implementation is a little janky when it comes to its hand interaction system and holding/manipulating loose objects (operating train levers feels good though). In modern refined VR games, you never should override the orientation of the player's hand to conform to an arbitrary hand pose when holding an item. It does that a lot here and it can make holding and aiming things like the signal flipper feel weird and bad. The palm should always follow the tracked palm orientation. Allegedly this will be fixed in an upcoming version, but I'll have to see. I have pretty high standards about this being a VR developer myself who has made a great hand interaction system for my own projects. I would gladly contribute what I know and have learned to Altfuture if they wanted, sharing all the details of how I handle interaction for my VR projects. I just want to see everything about this game be the best it can be.
