Plan your team's schedule to enhance their skills and gain new abilities. Gain new teammates and enhance their relationships depending on who you choose to pursue.

Despite not recommending Demonschool, I should start off by saying that it's not a bad game. It's fine. I obviously enjoyed it enough to play 80 hours of it, but to be totally honest, a lot of those last 40 hours I played were more out of the compulsion I have to see things through than anything else. This is a game that would have been a lot better if it was two-thirds as long as it is. The combat system is easily the best part of the game, but by the end of it you will have gone through around 150 battles that never really evolve much further than what you'll find yourself doing in the first five hours. There's no experience system in the game, so any improvements to your characters are done through ability unlocks that can be swapped between teammates as needed, which ends up making everyone feel kind of generic. The same is true for the minigames that you play to increase your bonds with your teammates-- there's fourteen other people in your running crew by the end of the game, and you'll be playing the same 4 incredibly simple minigames to increase this game's equivalent of the Persona's game S-Links many, MANY times to get to the end of their individual stories and special skills. They're not particularly difficult, but they're not particularly fun, either. I had this down as a game I would recommend when I started writing this, but as I'm wrapping things up I'm realizing that most of the things I'm bringing up are negative. Again, the game is fine-- I don't regret the time I spent playing it (any more than I do other games, at least), but it really suffers from the devs stretching the core components of the game further than they should have. Less is more, guys!
The game starts strong but then doesn't really go anywhere. The combat is initially interesting, but there's too much of it, and development of new skills and abilities is very slow, turning it into a slog. Navigating the island feels like chores on a checklist; if the dialogue landed, that might be okay, but overall the plot plays it safe and the humor wasn't for me. As a fan of Persona (and Into The Breach), I wanted to like this game, but it's a No for me.
Good Game, Has Lesbiabs
Intent was clearly in the right, but the sum of its whole is aggressively mediocre. I tried to see if it would ever hit and it never does. - It feels like the writer(s) were aware of their limitations and tried to compensate with comedy, this script is drowning in quips and cartoonish characterization. Very hard to get into a narrative driven story moving at glacier speed that not even the characters take seriously. The daily sim aspects are very shallow and should've been dropped in favor of a linear story. - Combat is the strongest suit, but system does not evolve enough over time to be engaging. Characters are limited in how they can be customized and movesets are not varied enough. Abilities you can research are not game changers whatsoever and are limited in how many you can obtain in a week. A smaller cast with more variety would've done a great service. Rewards for combat itself are not engaging, more skillpoints for abilities you have to wait to reserarch or money for more clubhouse cosmetics.
It seems you either like the game or you don't vibe with it. Its not like you hate it but you acknowledge you are not the target audience. The dialogue is not for me. Its not straight up bad but def for a difference generation. You jump from small map to small map. You unlock new areas with no explanation or story reason just boom now randomly you have this map that you didn't before. There are so many maps so the game tells you everything you can do so you don't really get the feeling of exploration. Combat is more of a puzzle. Early game it feels very 1 way to win. It opens up over time but because its more of a puzzle combat (you would not think that from the videos of the trailer) it does not feel like what you expect from a RPG. The bigger bosses feel like they don't fit within the puzzle like combat. I have only fought 1 boss cause I could not make it through this game. The tone of the game seems to no know what it wants to do. You have apocalypse and demons and death and then your main character is a bit of an idiot (keep in mind only have 4 hours into the game I did not beat the game). This game is def enjoyable for somebody, but that somebody isn't me.
I never see a main character that make me hate her from the moment she started to open her mouth. I don't really like the gameplay tbh even though i enjoyed Into the breach.
I want to like this game, but honestly it just isn't fun. The story is not engaging, but I can easily overlook that if the core gameplay is interesting, but it isn't. I have seen people compare this to Into the Breach, and I understand why. But Into the Breach is SUCH a better game. The combat here is overly gimmicky, with no real room for creativity. It feels more like a puzzle than a tactical battle. That can work, as it did in Into the Breach, but here it all just feels tedious. I never enjoyed any of the combat, and with how much of it there is that is an obvious problem. It also doesn't help that each battle map is just a rectangle, and that massive numbers of enemies will routinely spawn. There are a small number of methods to winning each battle, and you just need to figure those out. Sound fun? For you it might be, but it was not for me.
Good story and gameplay, lovingly crafted world, great characters, funny homour. This game has a surprising amount of meat to it.
A wonderful game. The combat puzzles make you feel clever when you 'solve' them, the characters are weird and fun, and the music is great. Crucially, it feels like a game hand-crafted by real people who cared about the game they were making. You can feel it in everything from the quirks of the characters to the esoteric movie reviews in the newspaper. A glimpse of the industry that was and could have been in this age of bland, design by committee games and talented devs being fired in favour of AI slop.
