I played this game a lot in 2025 and picked it as my game of the year when me and my friends were sharing our year in gaming! I was initially interested because I had heard a little bit about
the twist at the end of the game, which was basically made for me as a researcher of game monsters. I wasn't disappointed and I've thought about it a lot since!
. I played Dragon Ruins first, by the same developer, as my introduction to the genre, but it was DLR that really got me into it. https://store.steampowered.com/app/2929540/Dragon_Ruins/ If you end up trying it yourself, I highly recommend drawing out your own maps on some graph paper or something, rather than using a digital alternative, it added a lot to the game, and I kind of love the maps that I was left with after I finished playing! If you get the game, READ THE MANUAL!!! It's part of the experience, and you'll be lost without it. I really enjoy games developed by solo devs or small teams like this. Having played other games from Graverobber Foundation, you can feel the love for the genre (which is infectious).
Game uses way to many system resources.
Lacks polish, but very charming artstyle and fun combat. Definitely worth it for how cheap it is.
pretty good fr ong no cap fr
Even though the game is too underdeveloped I can see that the developers have passion and wanted to create a good product. However, I cannot recommend it but writing a bad review seems too harsh.
Excellent mood and good writing. I didn't know what I would find and I found it very easy to get lost in the world. It's a unique game for sure and worth checking out.
Demon Lords Reincarnation is a really simple dungeon crawler. Cons: It has no item management, no skill management, no automap, no hunger, no save system. Does nothing new to the genre of dungeon crawlers, no story, no progression, player has no real impact on how the combat plays out beside dispell spells, no skill trees, level scaling enemies. The amount of damage you receive is random. Your characters just die over and over again. The gameplay is the definition of insanity, do the same thing again and again and hope that the outcome is different. You have to draw your own maps. Simple grafics, the enemies are just simple black or white portraits, no animations. Pro: I like the simple but elegant display of the dungeon levels. Conclusion: Combines the worst features of the genre without any quality of life features. There are two ways to progress your character: One is combat, you get random levelups like health, mobility, dexterity that seems to have influence on the outcome of combat. The second is finding items in random chests. But the items have a random chance to be good or bad. You can easily make your character worse by finding and equipping random stuff in the dungeon. There is no equipment window to equip items, they are just added to your stats or substracted. Is too expensive for this kind of simple game. You can get way better games like Realms of Antiquity, Nox or the old goldbox classics for less money. I really would dig a game that is influenced by the old Mordor: depths of dejenol or Demise: Rise of Ku'tan. But with more beef please. Thanks for reading have a nice day.
Fun mapping and I hear there's a neat twist later in, but this combat system is the worst. It's hard to tell what damage type skills will do or what enemies are weak to vs your character just whiffing a blow, it's hard to know what damage skills you'll get or what classes are even usable, and any stat gains your characters get are wiped out by scaling up the number of enemies in encounters.
