About

Democracy 3 is the work of a single developer, Cliff Harris from the UK, an indie games veteran who has been making games since 1997 and programming since he was 11 years old. Cliff gets some 'help' from his cats, but frankly not much...Sums Steam only; GOG publishes no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

Reviews
I really enjoyed this game, but does not work on modern PC, crashing on start up half the time and very common during game. There is no sign it will be updated by the developer as they focused on the new version and in turn has put me off buying it.
Shame the game has been conceived so poorly, could have been really good. This was clearly rushed out without being fully tested, so is littered with problems. Visually poor - the sliders and blue/green indicators are counter-intuitive. The policy options available are limited and predictable. You can only play as a few countries. The game plays as a nod towards political orthodoxy. The affects of policies dont compare well to what happens in real life, so the devs political bias shines through. Overall for such a simple game (2-3 devs 6 -10 months part-time could do it) there really is no excuse for such a lack of quality/thought/planning/conception. I wouldnt pay more than 4.99 for the entire bundle. I dread to think what this game is like without all the dlc's.

my country have no democracy, so i have to retreat to this simulated world 😭😭😭
should let you dodge the bullets
Cool game, with great basics and some really intriguing gameplay and mods. Unfortunately, the "random start" option is broken, and therefore the replayability is severely limited. With only 6 countries, and the random start option not working, this is good for about 5-7 hours. If the random start option actually worked, I would recommend this game.
The only way you can win this game is if you're a liberal socialist.
Yes
Some complexities of real human government aren't mimicked perfectly here, and I'm thankful for that. Media can't convince anyone of anything in the game, and it's a very good realistic look at the problems that people have to reckon with in government.
Socialists find a relative magic money tree. Everything else either goes bankrupt or runs your country even harder into a dystopian totalitarian dictatorship. Fine spreadsheet manager initially, until you actually go into any sort of depth.
Very basic game.
