A true classic remains fun to play even 30 years after its initial release. https://youtu.be/clcJFZEnEBk While you can feel this game's age in its graphics and sound design as well as a bit of a clunky feel when it comes to the interface, overall this game has aged pretty well. The game is very open-ended and let's you explore most of its locations in any order you want. You can pick up all kinds of objects and put them in your inventory and sort them however you see fit, and use, combine and examine them in pretty clever ways. This game really rewards you for thinking outside the box. Puzzles are mostly solved by combining clues in your head and not all that often by just bringing the correct key-item to a specific place. There are moments where the game isn't consistent with how you're able to interact with it. At one point you can "open" a corpse to search it, but no other body, dead or alive, can be "opened", and in the same vein only once are you expected to move an object on the "view"-screen to find something behind it. The game also loves to instantly kill you, especially in the beginning, where you have to find an antidote before an invisible timer runs out. But since the game isn't very long, you can save everywhere and not every item is needed for completion, so you can skip entire locations on later tries, this isn't too much of an issue and more of a funny occurance. If you're into classic point and click andventures and don't mind a bit of clunky design, give this one a try!

When I was a screaming little ♥♥♥♥ this game introduced me to the concept of suicide, I believe it was the tender age of 5, I started the game, the game provided me a .38 Special, and within a few seconds it said. "Great Shot! You hit yourself right between the eyes!"

This takes me back to my childhood. With my best friend and his dad. We were sitting on the floor and playing this and shadowgate. This goes back in the day. You have to love the intelligent dark humor of this game.

Old school but witty narration and fun to explore

I like the NES version better.

Do you like point and click adventures? Do you like detective stories? Do you like old games? If you said yes to those, then absolutely get this. It's a great little story about amnesia. The inventory is a pain in the ass, though.
