About
Defender's Quest is a Tower-Defense/RPG Hybrid (Think Final Fantasy Tactics meets Tower Defense). It focuses on three things: tactical depth, customization, and story. That means no random encounters, no spikey-haired emo kids, no forced time sinks, and no tedious, repetitive battles.
The battle system builds off of tower defense, with individual characters taking the place of towers. Each character levels-up, learns skills, and equips gear individually, allowing the player to customize their battle experience and strategy. The overall game structure is similar to "tactical" RPG's, but with a real-time battle system. Game speed is adjustable, and commands can even be issued while the game is paused.
It also features an engaging, character-driven story written by an actual English major! The story strives to be fast-paced, snappy, and always relevant to gameplay with minimal exposition. Finally, it's got options and accessibility settings out the wazoo, so that you can have the best possible experience!

Reviews
I last played this game in 2015, and 11 years later, I still remember how fun it was. That alone is enough for me to recommend it to you.
진득하게 플레이하고 싶어도 거의 30분마다 클라이언트가 죽음..
It's pretty good, story is nice and units are upgradable.

Buen tower defense. Ahora cuenta con traducción al español.
I didn't think the game was particularly good or bad. Steam doesn't allow neutral reviews, so I decided to not recommend the game because there wasn't really anything memorable or impactful about the game. I consider feeling indifferent about a game to be a negative thing. Nothing unique or different. I didn't care for the writing. I don't really care for custom-created NPCs in RPGs. Perhaps bland is the best word to describe my feelings about the game.
The party-as-towers idea works better than it has any right to, and the writing is genuinely funny in places while still telling a real story about Azra and the Pit. The grind is real though, especially late in New Game+, and I'd tell anyone starting out to just bump the XP slider up in the options instead of stubbornly slogging through like I did. It also crashed on me a couple of times, which stings on a longer level, and the visuals definitely show their age. Still, the amount of control you get over speed, targeting and skill trees makes it feel like the devs actually respected my time, and I'd recommend it to anyone even mildly curious about tower defense.
Great game
crashes alot
