Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.57/day in the week to Aug 27 → 2.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

A simple but beautiful game with a really emotional story. The length of the game felt just right to me, not too long and not too short. It reminded me a little of Planet of Lana, which is definitely a good thing! Some parts towards the end were a bit frustrating, but nothing deal breaking. Overall, I really enjoyed my time with Deer & Boy and would definitely recommend it. Also runs great on Steam Deck.

I'm not sure how to feel about Deer & Boy. To me it's evident that the developer poured a lot of love in this game, but it misses on so many levels. I love this genre, and have played a lot of them. Deer & Boy seems to borrow a lot from its predecessors. It has a lot of the same types of puzzles, and barely ever innovates. So you'll be hiding behind something until a guard moves his flashlight elsewhere, which is your cue to run to the next box. It borrows
the sticky alien-like goo which responds under light
from Somerville (the art style reminds me a lot of it as well), it borrows the animal companion
which we'll follow on a journey to adulthood + dashing
from Neva and the kid voices in some Sims-language sounded an awful lot like the protagonist from Planet of Lana. None of the puzzles are truly challenging or mind boggling. Some even feel like you HAVE to fail in order to know how to approach them on the next iteration (
lightning sequence
), which always feel like a puzzler no-no to me. Then there were moments where puzzles just bugged, like asking the deer to nudge you up a ledge. This would result in me looking for other solutions, only to find out this time around the deer somehow was willing to nudge me up there! Only towards the end does it break free from what you played up until then, which was the only thing that truly surprised me during this game. But also there, did a lot of the sequences really overstay their welcome, like
the virtual tightrope walking or the running sequence on the deer's back
. I couldn't wait to finish this game, and not for the right reasons. As a fellow gamedev, it feels evident that people poured their hearts into this. Especially art wise, I was really charmed by this game. But to me, Deer & Boy was too much of a copy/paste of what I have already seen in the genre, without truly innovating.
Went into this not knowing much about it outside of the fact that you play as a boy with a little deer friend and was pleasantly surprised when it took a turn into something more than just being cute and whimsical. I love games like these where you get to play with animal companions. I enjoyed the gameplay and the environmental storytelling, and the cinematics(I especially love the ones towards the middle and end). All in all I really enjoyed it! And it's not too long or short of a game either. I'd say around 4 hours? Maybe more if you mess up often like me and want to get all the achievements.
This game was incredible. From the graphics to the story and game design, it's truly on of the best full gaming experiences I've had. Although I think 20€ might be a high price for a 4-4.5 hour game, I would say it's worth it. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes cinematic atmospheric story games :)
Deer & Boy is a delightful little Limbo-like that will probably draw a tear or two unless you're dead inside. took me 4.5 hours, puzzles are pretty simple, definitely borrows from other games like it. But it's got a lot of heart.
