Seems to be a good game so far i dont see a dedicated Discord for the game to report bugs tho I would like to see multiplayer support aswell, even if its just coop option for 1 other player, but multiplayer in general for the game would in my opinion make the game even better, and more fun with friends. also, as of right now for this post, dont use Detailed Map in the settings as it will crash the game upon loading a world, had to find a discussion about that due to wanting to use everything to its max, but that one checkbox just up and crashes the game
Too hard like all other Deep Despair Games. Wasnt able to craft or build because no Time. Always dead. Opponents WAY too hard to stressfull no Fun. PLEASE MAKE DAM GAME EASIER. Refund !!!
Deep Despair 3 developed and published by BekkerDev Studio is an expansive indie survival sandbox that blends crafting, exploration, base-building, and light RPG mechanics into a single open-ended experience. As a continuation of the series, it builds on familiar survival foundations while attempting to broaden its scope with additional systems and greater player freedom. The result is a game that feels ambitious for its scale, offering a wide range of activities within a procedurally generated world that encourages experimentation and self-directed progression. The core gameplay loop revolves around survival and gradual advancement. Players begin with limited resources and must gather materials, craft tools, and establish a base of operations to secure their foothold in the world. From there, the experience opens up, allowing players to pursue different paths such as farming, resource management, combat, or exploration. The flexibility of these systems is one of the game’s defining strengths, as it avoids forcing a rigid structure and instead lets players decide how they want to progress. This freedom creates a sense of ownership over the experience, making each playthrough feel slightly different depending on individual choices. Combat plays a meaningful role in shaping progression, adding an element of risk to exploration and resource gathering. Players can develop their character through different weapon types and abilities, creating a light class-based system that supports varied playstyles. While the mechanics themselves are relatively straightforward, they are responsive enough to keep encounters engaging, especially when combined with the need to manage positioning and timing. Enemy attacks on player-built bases, particularly during certain periods, introduce moments of tension that break up the slower pacing of crafting and exploration. Exploration is another major component, supported by a world that is divided into distinct biomes. Each region offers its own resources, enemies, and environmental challenges, encouraging players to venture beyond their starting area in search of better equipment and materials. Dungeons add further depth, providing structured challenges with rewards that justify the risk. These elements help maintain a sense of discovery, even as the overall gameplay loop remains consistent. The procedural nature of the world also contributes to replayability, ensuring that no two sessions feel entirely the same. One of the more interesting design choices is how the game handles survival mechanics, particularly the role of food. Instead of functioning purely as a necessity, food acts as a way to enhance the player’s abilities, offering bonuses to health, stamina, or other attributes. This shifts the focus from simply avoiding penalties to actively preparing for challenges, aligning survival mechanics more closely with RPG progression. It’s a subtle but effective change that makes resource management feel more purposeful. Visually, the game adopts a pixel-art style that is simple but effective. Environments are clear and easy to navigate, and the overall aesthetic supports the game’s focus on functionality over spectacle. While it lacks the detail and polish of larger productions, it maintains a consistent look that suits its scope. Over time, however, the repetition of assets and limited animation variety can become noticeable, especially during extended play sessions. As an evolving project, the game shows both promise and areas in need of refinement. While it already includes a wide range of systems, some elements feel underdeveloped or lacking in polish. Interface design, performance stability, and mechanical depth can vary, reflecting its ongoing development. These rough edges do not overshadow the experience entirely, but they do highlight the gap between its ambition and its current level of execution. The pacing of the game is largely determined by the player’s approach. Those who enjoy setting their own goals and exploring systems at their own pace will find plenty to engage with, while players who prefer structured objectives or narrative direction may feel less guided. The absence of a strong central storyline places the focus entirely on gameplay, which works well for sandbox enthusiasts but may limit its appeal to a broader audience. In the end, Deep Despair 3 stands as a solid example of an indie survival sandbox that prioritizes freedom and variety over refinement. It offers a wide range of mechanics and a satisfying sense of progression, even if some aspects feel repetitive or unfinished. For players who enjoy crafting, exploration, and open-ended gameplay, it provides a rewarding experience that can be shaped to fit different playstyles. Rating: 7/10
Game is officially dead. No plans to continue early access or officially close out the Early Access. The game could have been fun, but really fell short on so many levels. Look for something else.
Que decepcionante este juego, quise darle la oportunidad de jugarlo más tiempo y no reembolsarlo, pero me arrepentí. No le pierdan el tiempo, no vale la pena, es horrible.
Its a good game however i hate the screen moving with the mouse id love the option to turn that off if i desire to. The survival is decent and the combat is a challenge but its awful with that screen scrolling.
Something this game reminds me of, but I can't figure out what. Visually the game looks cool, the little things that make it more immersive.
