Don't get it, it's not worth it anymore. It's a dead game.
Deathless is one of those few games that come along and make you think wow, this team of developers are talented! First off, the graphics are excellent and the display is smooth. Sprites move smoothly and the attack graphics are quickly displayed. This helps the player because a lagging/stuttering display will affect your attacks. Gameplay is excellent with several maps to master. The monsters on each map are different which provides for a better gaming experience. If you like music in the background you should enjoy this game. If not, turn it down and listen to the game's other sounds, very nice. It gets very busy some times and the sounds of battle are a nice touch. Overall, Deathless is an excellent game that should be in every gamer's library. Especially for gamers such as myself that enjoy the genres of roguelite/rogue-like/bullet hell/survival games. Even better, the game is nicely priced. Affordability in games is one of the best ways of creating and keeping loyal customers.
I recommend
Dead game. Don't buy it. Devs have abandoned it.
My husband got me and some friends this game, but we've all returned ours at this point. It is very dull and makes no innovations, as survivors go. It brings nothing new to the table. The multiplayer is just more than one person on the screen. I play tons of these and there are way better, or if you like it, way more classic options as well. I have android survivors I prefer over this. I tried to play further to unlock new characters, but that really just changes their first power and a special thing they can get. They don't play differently. And the very little bit of voice acting is bad.
A bit repetitive, but still a blast. The core gameplay is addictive, but there are times when it feels like u r using the same strategies over and over. Even so the fun of mowing down hordes of enemies keeps me coming back.
Deathless is an online-focused survival roguelite that builds on the familiar “endless hordes” formula while trying to push it into a more structured, cooperative, and visually grounded space. Developed and published by OneTwoPlay, the game places players in a dark fantasy setting where survival is measured not just by how long you last, but by how well you adapt, build synergies, and coordinate under constant pressure. It is clearly inspired by wave-based survival hits, but it attempts to differentiate itself through objective-driven maps, real-time action combat, and an emphasis on multiplayer cooperation. At the heart of Deathless is a loop built around escalating danger. Each run drops the player into a hostile arena where enemies spawn relentlessly, growing stronger and more numerous as time passes. Survival depends on careful positioning, crowd control, and choosing upgrades that complement your current build. As enemies fall, experience and rewards allow you to unlock or enhance abilities, spells, and weapons, gradually transforming a fragile character into a screen-clearing force—if luck and smart choices align. Combat is fast and reactive, blending melee strikes, ranged attacks, and active abilities that demand constant movement. Unlike more passive survival games where damage is largely automated, Deathless asks players to engage directly with enemies, dodge threats, and actively manage cooldowns. This gives encounters a more hands-on feel, particularly during boss fights where enemy patterns and positioning matter far more than raw statistics. The action-heavy approach helps keep moment-to-moment gameplay engaging, especially when runs start to spiral into chaos. One of the game’s defining features is its cooperative multiplayer. Supporting up to four players, Deathless is clearly designed with teamwork in mind. Different builds can complement one another, allowing players to specialize in damage, control, or survivability. Objective-based maps further reinforce cooperation, as teams may need to split attention between clearing enemies and completing tasks under time pressure. When coordination clicks, the experience can feel rewarding and intense, capturing the thrill of surviving overwhelming odds together. Visually, the game opts for a dark, stylized 3D presentation that sets it apart from the pixel-art norm of the genre. Environments and characters emphasize atmosphere over detail, creating a grim tone that suits the survival theme. While animations and effects can feel stiff at times, the overall aesthetic successfully conveys a sense of danger and urgency. Audio design supports this mood with functional sound effects and combat cues, though it rarely stands out as a highlight on its own. Progression, however, is one of the game’s more divisive elements. Builds are heavily influenced by random upgrades, which can lead to wildly different outcomes between runs. While this unpredictability adds replay value, it can also feel frustrating when essential synergies fail to appear or when progression feels slow despite solid performance. Outside of runs, long-term progression exists but unfolds at a measured pace, which may discourage players looking for rapid unlocks or constant rewards. Multiplayer progression introduces additional friction. Experience and growth are tied closely to individual performance rather than shared success, which can unintentionally create competition within a cooperative setting. Players who fall behind early may struggle to catch up, weakening team balance and enjoyment. These design choices are especially noticeable during longer sessions, where disparities in power can become difficult to ignore. As an Early Access title, Deathless shows both promise and growing pains. Its core ideas—objective-based survival, active combat, and cooperative play—are solid, but the current content and pacing leave room for expansion and refinement. Community feedback often points to the need for better balance, more consistent progression, and additional variety in maps and characters. The foundation is there, but its long-term appeal will depend heavily on continued updates and responsiveness to player concerns. Ultimately, Deathless is a game best enjoyed with the right expectations. It offers intense, cooperative survival gameplay with moments of genuine excitement, particularly when teamwork and builds align. At the same time, its reliance on randomness, uneven progression, and Early Access limitations may frustrate solo players or those seeking a more polished experience. For fans of survival roguelites who enjoy experimenting with builds and tackling chaotic encounters alongside friends, Deathless presents an intriguing but still evolving experience that hints at greater potential if its systems are allowed to mature. No updates for a year & just seems unfinished and kinda boring after a couple plays when you realise there aren't really any goals to play towards..
