Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 22.43/day in the week to Sep 11 → 59.57/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

After 115 hours, I can honestly say Death Stranding Director’s Cut is one of the most unique games I’ve ever played. At first, I totally understood why some people called it a “walking simulator,” because the opening hours are slow, there’s a ton of dialogue, and even a simple delivery can feel like a whole expedition, but once the gameplay systems start opening up, it becomes way more than just walking from point A to point B. Planning routes, managing cargo, dealing with rough terrain, building roads, setting up ziplines, avoiding BTs, and seeing structures left behind by other players slowly turns every delivery into its own little story. The online system is probably one of my favorite parts because you rarely see another player directly, but their ladders, bridges, vehicles, signs, generators, and shelters can save your ass when you’re completely exhausted in the middle of nowhere, and it creates this weird feeling of cooperation without forcing you into multiplayer, which fits the entire theme of the game perfectly. Ngl, getting thousands of likes because a road or zipline I built helped other players was way more satisfying than I expected. The story is absolutely insane, and I mean that in both a good and bad way: it’s emotional, confusing, beautiful, overly dramatic, and sometimes Kojima explains the same idea five different times just to make sure you really got it. Some scenes are way too long, the dialogue can be awkward, and the lore feels overwhelming at first, but once everything starts coming together, the characters and their stories hit hard. Sam, Cliff, Fragile, Deadman, Heartman, and especially BB made me care way more than I thought I would, and the final hours are an emotional roller coaster, with the soundtrack making every important moment hit even harder. The gameplay can definitely be repetitive, especially if you’re trying to complete every standard order or get the highest rank on everything, and driving can be frustrating because vehicles sometimes bounce around like the terrain personally offended them. Combat isn’t the strongest part of the game either, but it improves once you unlock more weapons and tools. Personally, I enjoyed the slower pace because the game gives you time to think, explore, and actually feel the distance you’re traveling. It’s strangely relaxing until the rain starts, your cargo begins falling apart, BTs appear, and suddenly your peaceful delivery turns into a complete disaster. The Director’s Cut additions make the overall experience better with extra missions, new equipment, improved combat options, useful structures, the firing range, and quality-of-life improvements. The PC version also looks incredible, with amazing environments, character models, weather effects, and animations, and playing at a high resolution and smooth frame rate makes the landscapes feel massive. Performance was mostly solid for me, although there were a few minor technical issues here and there. This game obviously isn’t for everyone, and if you need constant action every thirty seconds, you’ll probably get bored fast, but if you enjoy slow-burn stories, exploration, planning, atmospheric worlds, and games that are willing to do something completely different, it’s 100% worth experiencing. Death Stranding starts off feeling lonely and exhausting, but little by little it becomes a game about connection, helping strangers, and continuing to move forward even when everything feels impossible. It has flaws, and it can be self-indulgent af, but there’s genuinely nothing else like it. 115 hours well spent. Keep on keeping on.

It took me 27 hours to realize that this is not even a video game, this is simply a medium used by Kojima to punish you for being foolish enough to give him money. I honestly can't recommend against it, because it is an amazingly well designed game, almost flawless in it's stupidity and pointlessness. Unfortunately, it was designed by Kojima the biggest psychopath in game development history someone please put a stop to this guy he is a menace. He makes you sit through a 4 hour unskippable cutscene double fake ending just to tell you a contrived story about nothing, but that's the point. Also I guessed the plot twist and real villain in like 5 hours, this guy is not even close to as smart as he thinks lmao. Nice job Kojima, I hate you.
Unlike my kids, I love this game unconditionally :)
Its weird, frustrating at times. The directors cut definitely felt about 5 hours longer than it needed to be. The menus require way too much clicking. But I still thoroughly enjoyed this game. The story, characters, graphics, and world building are top notch. The game mechanics are good as well - you can feel your progress as you help reconnect the world and make your own job easier in the process. Recommend for sure. Looking forward to playing the next one once its on sale.
Che dire... Kojima! Gioco fantastico, adatto a chi piace godersi con calma una bella storia. Molti lo definiscono "Bartolini simulator", e tutto sommato non posso dargli molto torto; ma questo non lo sminuisce. Consigliatissimo!!!
Already in love with the game 4 hours in
No es para todos los gustos pero me gusta la trama, goty 100000/10
