Not Recommended XERA Survival is meh. A dead game with dead servers, 0 players, and a dead map with zero life. Basically, the only things that spawn during events are freaking XOIDs, which are the most OVERPOWERED bots. Some are kinda normal and take about 2 mags of .45 ACP to kill, but then there is the heli crash event with the giant-ass humanoid XOID that took 2–3 mags from an AK and didn't even flinch. The freaking stupid bot can 2-shot you. With armor, maybe 3-shot you. Basically, you are really screwed if you aggro it. The game kinda sucks ass. I spent 3 hours in it and honestly got bored really fast. Build a base? Sure. Base building is kinda simple and easy to do, but gathering materials is extremely stupid and tedious. Crafting is meh. There aren't that many recipes. The game feels unfinished because there simply isn't that much loot or variety to find. There are 3 official servers in Europe and no people on them. Basically a dead game. Honestly, the janky-ass movement and the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ combat with bots completely killed it for me. I do not recommend it. I uninstalled it. Sorry, but if you're on ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Season 8 of SKIN FUDGIN CRATES, you're mistaken if you think I'm going to spend any money on skins. Cash grab with skin boxes and ♥♥♥♥♥-ass cosmetic equipment that sucks. Basically, don't install it and don't waste your time or money on this game. NOT WORTH IT.

XERA: Survival is an ambitious free-to-play open-world survival shooter that blends exploration, crafting, base construction, and multiplayer combat into a large-scale post-apocalyptic sandbox. Developed and published by Spotted Kiwi Interactive, the game transports players into a future devastated by rogue artificial intelligence, where humanity has been pushed to the brink of extinction. Rather than relying on zombies or traditional survival horror themes, XERA: Survival builds its world around hostile machines, rival mercenaries, and dangerous wilderness regions, creating a distinctive science-fiction setting that helps separate it from many of its genre competitors. The game's premise revolves around the aftermath of a technological catastrophe. A military AI system known as XERA has escaped control and begun manufacturing armies of autonomous machines. Human civilization has largely collapsed, leaving scattered survivors and mercenary groups to fight over the remaining resources. Players enter this world as independent operators tasked with surviving, scavenging, and carving out a place for themselves in an environment where danger exists around every corner. The setting provides a strong foundation for the gameplay, offering a believable reason for the constant conflict and exploration that define the experience. Unlike some survival games that heavily emphasize hunger, thirst, and resource micromanagement, XERA: Survival takes a more streamlined approach. Survival mechanics exist, but they never overwhelm the player or distract from the core gameplay. The focus remains firmly on exploration, combat, and progression. This design decision makes the game more approachable than many hardcore survival simulators while still preserving the tension associated with venturing into hostile territory. Players spend less time managing menus and more time actively engaging with the world. The open world is one of the game's most impressive features. Covering a massive landscape filled with forests, military compounds, industrial facilities, abandoned settlements, and hidden bunkers, the environment encourages constant exploration. Every journey into the wilderness carries potential rewards as well as considerable risks. Valuable equipment, crafting materials, and rare loot can often be found in dangerous locations, forcing players to decide whether the potential gains justify the possibility of losing everything they have collected. This risk-and-reward structure forms the heart of the gameplay loop and keeps exploration consistently exciting. Combat is a major component of the experience and is built around both player-versus-player and player-versus-environment encounters. The world is populated by hostile robotic forces that patrol key locations and protect valuable resources. These AI enemies create meaningful PvE challenges that require preparation and tactical thinking. At the same time, other players represent an equally dangerous threat. Any encounter with another survivor can result in cooperation, conflict, betrayal, or unexpected alliances. This constant uncertainty gives the game an edge that keeps players alert throughout every expedition. The PvPvE structure works particularly well because it ensures that no area ever feels completely safe. Players might successfully clear a robotic outpost only to find themselves ambushed by another group seeking the same rewards. Likewise, focusing entirely on fighting rival players can leave someone vulnerable to attacks from AI-controlled enemies. This balancing act creates a dynamic environment where situational awareness is often just as important as combat skill. Base building provides a satisfying layer of long-term progression. Players can gather materials and construct fortified structures that serve as personal strongholds. These bases allow for equipment storage, resource management, and strategic planning while also providing a sense of permanence within the otherwise hostile world. Watching a small shelter gradually develop into a fortified compound creates a rewarding feeling of ownership and accomplishment. The possibility of raids and attacks ensures that base construction remains relevant throughout the game rather than becoming a purely cosmetic feature. Crafting systems further support progression by allowing players to convert gathered resources into useful equipment and tools. Weapons, defensive gear, support items, and specialized devices can all be acquired through exploration and crafting. This interconnected progression loop ensures that every activity contributes toward future success. Gathering resources improves crafting potential, better equipment improves survivability, and greater survivability enables access to more dangerous and rewarding locations. The game also features a variety of dynamic events and mission-based activities that help maintain long-term engagement. High-risk objectives, supply drops, crashed helicopters, enemy strongholds, and other world events encourage players to venture beyond familiar areas. These encounters often become hotspots for player interaction and create some of the most memorable moments in the game. Because the rewards are often substantial, players are constantly tempted to take risks that may result in either tremendous gains or devastating losses. Visually, XERA: Survival delivers a respectable presentation that prioritizes world scale and functionality over graphical spectacle. The environments effectively communicate the atmosphere of a fallen civilization struggling against technological threats. Dense forests, abandoned facilities, and military installations create varied landscapes that support both exploration and combat. While the graphics may not rival those of larger-budget survival titles, they are more than capable of supporting the game's ambitious design goals. The game is not without flaws. As with many online survival experiences, server population, balancing issues, and technical challenges can occasionally affect the overall experience. Some players may also find the learning curve demanding during the early hours. However, the underlying systems remain compelling enough to encourage continued investment, particularly for those who enjoy multiplayer sandbox experiences built around risk, freedom, and player-driven stories. Ultimately, XERA: Survival succeeds because it understands what makes survival shooters appealing. The combination of large-scale exploration, meaningful progression, unpredictable player encounters, base construction, and science-fiction worldbuilding creates a compelling experience that rewards both caution and ambition. While it may not possess the polish of the genre's largest names, it offers a unique and engaging take on open-world survival. For players seeking a free-to-play adventure filled with tension, discovery, and emergent multiplayer encounters, XERA: Survival provides a rewarding journey through a dangerous world where every decision matters.
