Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Aug 25 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
Heavy atmosphere, well built story and an amazing cast of talented actors. I had a very good time with Dead Take.
Satisfying horror-adjacent escape room experience about what it takes to make it in Hollywood. Full of FMV scenes with great acting that rises above the simple puzzles and a familiar take about the cost of fame. Moody and atmospheric and genuinely creepy, but the frights are regulated to jump scares. There's a lot of walking to do in this one. For the price, it's a good experience but not one that sticks with you after the game is over.

FANTASTIC! Between the puzzles & jumpscares (dont get me started on the ACTORS) this game was top notch. If there's ever a pill that erases memory, this will be the first thing I come back to.
I loved it. I loved it a lot! Although it is short, it was a pleasure to play it. It is a pure quest. Just like the one I used to play in childhood at the beginning of 2000s. These puzzles resonated with me greatly, I was so happy to finally play something in that very genre I love so dearly, as pure quests, not cinematics, are almost extinct at current point( Thank you for making this game! <3
Polecam.
A splice-it-together chiller directly aimed at cinephiles and film-freaks, Surgent Studios' outing is destined to be a darling among A24 addicts. Dead Take's arc trawls Hollywood viscera — similarly dredged by Inland Empire, Under the Silver Lake and Starry Eyes — via stylistic cues reminiscent of Gone Home, Layers of Fear and Alan Wake 2. Traumas and challenges of performance storytellers, at any stage of the professional grind, fuel the title's aphotic ambience: Darkly-scored, accumulating disquiet ... punctuated by occasional, piercing terrors. A no-brainer pickup for Sam Barlow and Sam Lake enthusiasts, who will find themselves well-pleased.
