For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.

About
WILL: Follow The Light is a story-driven, first-person adventure puzzle game about a perilous personal journey through the harsh northern latitudes. To find peace and reunite with his family, Will must sail across endless waters, face numerous challenges, and ultimately discover himself.
You play as Will, a lighthouse keeper on a remote island in the northern seas. The story begins during one of your typically solitary shifts when an unexpected radio message shatters the routine. A sudden disaster has struck your hometown, and your only son is missing. Determined to find him, you must set out on a quest aboard your sailing yacht, Molly, navigating the treacherous northern seas.
The harder you search for your son, the more questions arise. What hidden truths lie in your bond with your own father? Where is your beloved wife? What has happened to your family? The answers are scattered across the unforgiving northern environments you explore — an abandoned island accessible only by sea, a mountain range traversable by dog sled, and your home now standing among ruins and accessible only on foot.
Through the journey, you discover and confront truths about yourself, whether you’re ready for them or not.
All of it to save your son…
…or yourself?

I really enjoyed the story and atmosphere of WILL: Follow The Light. It has a strong sense of mood and was a great game to get immersed in over a weekend. My main complaints are that the NPCs can feel quite stiff and lifeless, which sometimes breaks the immersion, and a few of the puzzles have solutions that don’t feel particularly logical or intuitive. That said, these issues didn’t take much away from the overall experience for me. It’s a beautiful, atmospheric journey and definitely worth playing if you’re looking for something to enjoy over a weekend.
Honestly, I wanted to like the game but I just couldn't finish it as it just overstays it's welcome and the story is okay but not really good. The Puzzles and where you need to do is hard to understand and the parts you have to start over is so damn annoying and just isn't really fun 2/10
The story was OK initially but after Chapter 2 it turned into some semi-supernatural nonsense. There are also some technical issues: the game offers DLSS frame generation as a setting but it's not implemented properly (and not fixed 2 months after release); if you want to enable it you'll have to create an Engine.ini file with a few lines enabling it. Excluding those it's not a bad game, graphics look OK most of the time and the puzzles are fine for an indie game. The game is tagged as a walking simulator but it's a bit more interactive than most of them. WILL: Follow The Light is very far from great but considering the reasonable price, at least on sale, I don't regret buying it.
I was pretty mixed at first. The puzzles started to get a bit much, but I stuck with it, and I ended up really loving the sailing parts. I honestly wish there had been more of them! I also wish there were times when you had to go into the cabin and wait out a storm or something like that. The sailing and navigating were easily my favorite parts of the game. In the end, I really liked this game. I just wish it could have been more open-world, where you could sail anywhere on the map... hint hint. 😆 I really loved the lighthouses, too. I actually had a glitch where the lantern fragments wouldn't put the pieces into the lantern, so I gave up and deleted the game for about a month. Then I installed it again, and everything was fixed. LOL. Overall, great game! I just wish there were more normal sailing sections. Being out on the water and navigating around was probably my favorite part of the whole experience.
Mein Fazit: WILL: Follow The Light ist für mich kein schlechtes Spiel. Meine persönliche Wertung: 7/10 Atmosphäre: 9/10 Segeln: 9/10 Sturm & große Momente: 9/10 Grafik & Landschaft: 8,5/10 Rätsel: 4/10 Spielerführung: 4/10 Grundidee der Geschichte: 8/10 Umsetzung: 5,5/10 Emotionale Wirkung: 6/10 Länge: 7/10 The demo really hooked me – unfortunately, the full game didn't quite live up to it. I first played WILL: Follow The Light as a demo and was immediately impressed. The atmosphere, landscapes, lighting and especially the sailing were fantastic. The sailing in particular feels like a lot of work went into making it immersive and believable. I also really enjoyed the demo's puzzles: simple, straightforward and logical. You could usually figure out what to do with common sense instead of trying random solutions for several minutes. For a game where story and atmosphere are more important to me than difficult puzzles, this worked extremely well. Unfortunately, this changes quite a lot later in the game. Player guidance is one of the biggest weaknesses for me. I streamed the entire game, and my viewers and I repeatedly got stuck. Not because the puzzles were particularly difficult, but because we simply didn't know what the game wanted us to do. I had to look up guides several times just to continue. I don't mind challenging puzzles, but there should be a satisfying moment of “Of course! I should have figured that out.” When the solution is only found through random experimentation, that feeling is missing. Small hints from the protagonist after being stuck for a few minutes could improve this significantly. Towards the end, some puzzles became unnecessarily illogical, which was especially frustrating because I wanted to solve everything myself. Some gameplay sections also didn't work well for me, especially the sled sequence. At times I had to memorize the exact route intended by the developers rather than being able to approach it naturally. That felt more frustrating than challenging. I also have mixed feelings about the mystical elements. Memories, thoughts, dreams and almost supernatural moments blend together, and I wasn't always sure how to interpret them. Personally, I would have preferred the game to stay more grounded and realistic, especially considering how immersive the sailing itself is. The basic story concept, however, is very good. Without spoilers, it deals with fathers and sons, loss, guilt and mistakes passed from one generation to the next. The idea works well, although parts of the execution felt somewhat constructed and didn't always have the emotional impact I expected. The ending also feels rather abrupt, and the story becomes increasingly predictable towards the end. Still, I genuinely wanted to know how Will's journey would end. At around ten hours, I also think the overall length is perfectly fine. My verdict: WILL: Follow The Light is not a bad game. Quite the opposite: the atmosphere, scenery, lighting, weather and especially the sailing are excellent. But it comes with quite a few “buts”. For me, the demo was both the reason I bought the game and one of the reasons I ended up disappointed, because it gave me slightly different expectations for the full experience. I therefore won't give it a negative review: 👍 Positive – but with quite a few “buts”. If you enjoy atmospheric adventures and sailing, this game is worth checking out. However, if you mainly loved the demo for its simple, logical and grounded puzzles, be aware that the full game moves away from that approach quite noticeably. My personal rating: 7/10 Atmosphere: 9/10 Sailing: 9/10 Storms & major moments: 9/10 Graphics & scenery: 8.5/10 Puzzles: 4/10 Player guidance: 4/10 Story concept: 8/10 Story execution: 5.5/10 Emotional impact: 6/10 Length: 7/10
Loving the sailing. These devs can start making a proper sailing sim for us as its what I have been looking for.
I really wanted to like this game. It's beautiful. The sailing was well implemented. But since the opening scene, it's been all fetch quests. And I've now spent 30 minutes trying to assemble a winch. It's just miserable and frustrating. Not what I wanted to be doing in this game. I just want to be out on the water, not wandering around a town.
