About

Enter the Barrens
The Barrens were shattered by a mysterious nuclear disaster that poisoned the land and warped everything it touched. The dead now wander as infected husks, and the living haven’t escaped unscathed either. Twisted, man-made mutants born from failed experiments and radiation scars roam the wastes, hunting anything that still breathes. What remains is a harsh, lonely expanse of toxic storms, abandoned settlements, and dangers that were never meant to exist. How you endure what’s left is entirely up to you.
Alliances & Enemies
Those who survived the catastrophe have split into powerful roaming factions, each with their own camps, vendors, and mission networks. They move across the wilderness, clash over territory and respond to how you conduct yourself and who with. Earn their trust, exploit their rivalries, or become the threat they warn each other about. Build your reputation carefully, because it can open doors or paint a target on your back. With enough faction standing, or the right bribe at the right moment, you can even recruit companions willing to walk the Barrens beside you.
Beyond Human Threats
The infection didn’t just kill; it twisted everything it touched. The undead roam in unpredictable patterns, from shambling husks to warped monstrosities that stalk the dark. But they’re not the only things born from the end of the world. Man-made mutants created through failed experiments and radiation-warped biology prowl the Barrens, hunting anything that survives. And deep in the wasteland, powerful boss creatures wait for anyone desperate enough to wander into their territory.
Dark Atmosphere
The Barrens feels alive even when the world stands still. Thick green fog rolls through the Hazard Zone, radioactive storms erupt without warning, and the wind carries echoes that make you question what’s actually out there. Each region has its own mood and weather, from choking toxic rain to frozen, silent mountain ridgelines. Nothing here is warm. Nothing here is safe.
Build a home to survive the new world
Survival means more than a campfire now. Shape your own refuge with a fully modular base-building system that lets you create anything from a lone outpost to a fortified stronghold. Power your structures through a functional grid, manage generators, and keep the fuel flowing if you want the lights to stay on and the dangers out. Every wall, wire, and welded panel is a choice that can protect you or paint a target on your back in a world that never stops pressing in.
Scavenge, Craft and Endure
Supplies are scarce, and every item counts. Search decaying towns, derelict industrial sites, and forgotten bunkers for gear, medicine, weapons, and materials. Craft what you can’t find and upgrade your survivor as you scrape together the tools you need to last another day.
Adapt and improve to survive
Your skills develop through use, shaping the kind of survivor you become. Strengthen your abilities, unlock new options and adapt your playstyle through an evolving RPG skill system that will expand throughout Early Access.
Harsh Conditions, Immersive survival
Injury and illness aren’t just status effects. Broken bones slow you, infections spread, and untreated conditions spiral into something far worse. Manage your health carefully to ensure you are always ready to face the threats within the Barrens. Items also feature a variety of use animations giving depth to every action, stuck in a toxic storm without adequate protection? Knock back to alcohol to soften the radiation, running a high infection? Try taking so anti biotics or as a fallback unpack some cigarettes to keep you going!
Long term support
Fargone will grow over time, with new regions, systems, factions, and features added regularly through and beyond Early Access. This is a world meant to evolve, and your story will evolve with it.
This feature deserves it's own section due to it's importance. Fargone has always been built around the idea of having coop, and it WILL HAVE COOP. However, for the launch of the game and the growing complexities of the AI system and others, I have made the decision to hold the launch of coop back until the game has launched and settled. Multiplayer is currently targeted at being a 1-4 player experience. The focus on human AI and factions makes for a strong single player experience at launch that I hope you will love as much as I have creating it!

I do like the vision, a gritty unity variant of stalker. Coupled with multiple faction systems, base building and a living ecosystem like kenshi. But sadly, that's what most of it is... a vision that's still being worked on. The rest of the game is very rough, from asset clipping, barebone pois, wonky terrain, questionable enemy AI, lacklustre sound, bad ui, bugs galore, etc... Don't get me wrong, its not that I disagree with the direction of development, I would very much like the dev to continue their work. But as it is still a work in progress, and that this is technically being marketed as early access and people don't always take early access as development costs but as a product in-the-making, the current state of the game needs significantly more work to be considered viable. It's been a couple of years of development and it has been moving at a glacially slow pace. So likewise, taking that into consideration, it would be better to wait for full development before sinking your dollars. The product is very bad for its price, and considering you have f2p alternatives and the stalker games likely going on discount, this low-poly stalker gamma lite needs significantly more work to keep up with its price-point.
This feels like it was assembled from the “blocky survival game starter pack”. You have seen this exact style a hundred times already, crafting, wandering, hitting things, except here it comes with twice the bugs and half the reason to keep playing.
The game is very unique and pretty fun to explore. the faction system is super interesting and I like the randomness of being able to walk into the middle of a gun fight between factions/zombies. Games receiving alot of love from the dev. yes there are some bugs but the dev is really quick to address them and even help players individually to try and fix these as soon as possible. This is definitely worth picking up just to support the creator.
broken (getting shot or attacked threw objects, respawning or clipping/falling threw map and other objects), buggy (enemies spawn out of thin air on top of you, items despawns from player placed loot containers) and hard to look at ( screen tears constantly, lighting freaks out while in gunfight sometimes and from player placed light objects, gun clips threw face when aiming sometimes)
Currently too much jank
This game is rubbish. You cannot even complete the first 2 missions, theres no ammo, food or water suppiles to recover with, leaving you completely useless by the second time you die. you have to start a new character to continue, only to have the same loop destory the game before it begins. This game is beyond chellenging and becomes point less to play within an hour. In all honesty i actally like the graphics and game play for me is fine, even the death loop is fine, but there is no way of getting the rewards/resourses you need to contine. Stalker on extreme difficuly was easier than this. At some point every one forgot that while games can be chellenging, they are also meant to be fun I cannot recommend this game in its current state
At the current date I can't recommend. It has potential but there are a few problems with the game. For the worst I'll start with enemies spawning on top of you. One moment you look around you, you see 3 zombies, kill one, then as you attack the next out of nowhere you have another 3 zombies on top of you, one of them being an exploder. This is just not acceptable in any kind of game. A lot of the game really isn't well explained or doesn't makes sense like selling for example, the only way to sell something to a vendor is double clicking the item but nothing tells you this. You can drag, you chance shift or ctrl it, you can right or left click it, nothing happens you are just supposed to guess that double click is the only thing that works. How do you divide stacks? I still don't know. Game doesn't brings items into your quickslots to stack them, game doesn't explains factions and who is at war with who or how to get friendly with a specific faction or even if you should. Then you have bugs like crashing (rare, only happened once) or picking up items with a full inventory sometimes just despawns the item you tried to pick up instead of dropping it on the ground. Ballistics don't feel great either, firing a weapon on single shot manages to kick the weapon away from the original position instead of when the recoil is managed going back to the original spot, too much sway even using irons or red dots. Then we have PoIs that are HUGE and have basically nothing in them. You waste an hour going through multiple floors of a building and find 3 or 4 interactable food containers. The inventory is extremely limited. Better backpacks just let you carry more weight, not more items and while more weight is good I don't agree with games that want to use 2 different carry limiters, being weight and space. Using one or the other is always the way to go and normally weight is the better one for that matter. This not to mention how much encumberance slows you. Considering how much the game already limits the player, forcing him to chose to carry his loot and barely be able to move therefore making it a slog just to haul the loot back to sell or just leaving the loot behind so the player can move is a very poor design decision. In any game with encuberance even a 10% speed penalty or even a 10% speed bonus is felt rather heavily by the player so when we got 50% or more to movement speeds this is just horrible to deal with. I hope given time things will be better. Many aspects of the game got better over time from when I bought it a couple years back but some have become worse like enemy spawning on top of you.
Other than crashing and being stuck in weird spots or locked in one place Decent game 8/10 Got more into it and its in the top ten because it feels like surroundead and it has some cool features i love like the weapon animations and when you switch clothes it has a animation to it which i love!
This game is extremely hard. The early missions are downright impossible. I guess if you're looking for that more power to you, but wasting my time not getting anywhere is not my idea of fun.
Muy buieno.
