Hat auf jeden Fall eine coole Storyline.
A beatiful remaster. That's what the word "Remaster" stands for. Game Companies should stop calling their games "Remake" eventough it's a remaster like this game is.
Dead Space is my most memorable and number 1 horror/shooter game of all time. Back in the days when I was around 8 or 9, my older cousin used to play the 2008 game and I would sit next to him and watch. I remember how my innocent and baby mind was shocked by the first scenes of limb dismemberment, especially by those of Isaac. I couldn't sleep for a week after I had witnessed those scenes for the first time. After almost 18 years, I stumbled upon Dead Space remake and just by looking at Isaac's iconic helmet in the cover I felt a chill running down my spine. Faint visions of the horror that I had felt as a kid soon occupied my thoughts. "It's time." I did it. Finally. Incredible, nostalgic and truly horrifying experience. This game completely keeps you on your toes at all times, some sceneries with the spaceship and giant machinery are breathtaking, the sound design is INSANE, especially the ambience which perfectly creates a haunting atmosphere. I don't know how but this game has the most balanced ratio of jumpscares/ambushes to relaxed/safe moments. And oh boy the details! I can't stress enough on how the sheer number of events, details and atmospheric features adds liveliness to the dead and dreadful environment of the game. Quite paradoxical but it feels like the entire spaceship is watching your every movement. You easily realize how Isaac slowly loses his mind the more he lingers in that iron tomb. I finally confronted this childhood fear and beat it. However, that helmet still brings those old, haunting memories of Isaac getting gutted and screaming in agony back.
Great game. I didn't play the original version from 2008 but this remake has nice gameplay.
