Dead Beacon was a SLOG to play through.. The melee requires charge up and does little damage, almost all the guns besides the magnum feel like you're blasting your enemy with NERF gun, your character slows down to a crawl every time they need to reload and still take forever to reload the gun. I have the mentality of someone who doesn't give up very easily. This game screwed me over not once, but twice.... The first time I didn't have enough ammo for the first boss, because I spent too much time over-exploring before fighting him. The game screwed me a second time on the third boss, as I didn't have enough rifle ammo to fight him, and the boss is a flying boss that never gets near enough for you to damage with a pistol/shotgun effectively. So having started this game over a 3rd time, having beaten the game, and gotten both endings B and A, I'm a little annoyed by quite a bit. First and foremost, the final boss is a joke compared to all the other bosses. Both endings are awful. Ending B is the bad ending which I get, but its not even a cut-scene, its literally a note you pick up and read. Ending A is supposed to be the good ending, but its not even really an ending. I've seen better endings to fairy tales made up by a 5-year old. To say that Dead Beacon is a bad game is an understatement. The game feels like it was in very early stages of development and then just released. Having played the excellent "Nightmare of Decay" first, Dead Beacon wasn't just a step down the stairs, it was a swift push down them followed by a disrespectful kick in the jewels.

Very nice first person style Resident Evilish game! Nice puzzles and great level design. I loved the atmosphere too. No cheap jumpscares or other stupid "must have these days horror" type stuff. I also loved that if you explore and search enough it pays off and you can get stronger. 9,5/10
