Game doesn't run or function if you update to window's 11 since it becomes incompatible with battle-eye's launcher, either fix battle-eye or quit using it entirely
Reluctant positive review given that the developer had abandoned the game in favor of focusing on Insurgency: Sandstorm (which itself failed due to issues from Unreal Engine and lack of direction from the developers across all of their games) I like this game as it's a step up from Insurgency (2014) in a lot of ways, most notable of them being classes having more use than just giving a player a different selection of gear, such as suppression resistance or faster objective capture speed. There is class synergy between Officer and Radioman / Assault due to the latter being able to carry radio packs, which allow Officers to summon ammo, smoke barrage for cover or gun barrage for offense. The radio packs are also interesting because there is more focus on proximity voice chat now, with the radio carriers being the only people that are able to relay information between eachother. The bots are also much more responsive and behave like intended instead of their common glitchiness from Insurgency as well as being more aggressive towards players (especially in melee range). What I don't like is the lack of content and rougly 25 - 50% of the game being made to be handled by NWI servers (NWI does not exist anymore), such as profile customization and leveling system. There isn't that much of a weapon variety to choose from so you will often find yourself to be playing a specific role just to be able to use it's weapons if you're not comfortable with bolt-actions for example (I love them, personally). There is also an extreme lack of players in contrast to, again, Insurgency probably because the DOI is more difficult to play than Insurgency as well as the previously mentioned lack of content. There was a lot of potential for this game but I suppose this potential will never ever be unveiled, which is sad. Buy the game only on a sale and DO NOT buy the Deluxe Edition, the (purely cosmetic) units that the upgraded version contains cost merely 3 cents on the Steam Market and are NOT worth the extra purchase cost as you don't exactly get anything else.

First forget about the multiplayer second go and have fun in the practice missions You don´t have to deal with annoying teammates, the AI is challenging enough and you can always choose exactly what map and mode you wanna play next
Sadly dead now but this really was such a hudden gem of a game. For the longest time it was one of my favorite WW2 multiplayer games. God Speed DOI
Хорошая игра, но в сети слишком много читеров, а с ботами играть скучно. В Windows 11 появляется синий экран смерти.
PvP is effectively dead. Occasionally, you can queue or find multiplayer games of around 6v6 players with bots to supplement each team. Most of the time, the only servers alive are small co-op games against bots. Try it out if you want to chill out against bots. It's a damn shame cause the gameplay is pretty good. Grab it only on a deal.
Dead Game. No players. Sorry y'all missed it.
Please make ts free so I can find a populated server again
I actually love this game a lot and wouldn’t hesitate to place it in the same tier as its predecessor, Insurgency (2014). Unfortunately though, since I bought the game a little over a month ago, I haven’t been able to find a single populated PvP server—even on weekends. There's also the unresolved issue of the outdated BattlEye version, making it unplayable on newer versions of Windows 11 and posing as an additional barrier to entry for new players.
This game is abandoned no one plays it yet it was never the less such an amazing game i just don't understand why New World Interactive abandoned this game it was glorious now its a ghost town no servers no new ideas just left to die their sandstorm game is also abandoned it seems they never optimized it properly nor gave it better content the only thing holding sandstorm is the ismc mod which adds a lot of content and weapons to the game while playing under community servers anyway Rest in Peace good ol game it was good playing it with people now its dead do not buy it's gone.
