You play David, an awfully small abstracted chosen hero tossed into a blissfully simple world overrun by giant culminations of evil physics-beasts. As David, you are given a slingshot-esque gift that you will have to use to conquer your colossus foes. Be there AND be square.

The core concept is very very basic but would have been amusing if the game wasn't crafted to resemble a torture device. It requires you to make extremely precise movements but has the floatiest controls this side of a Kirby platformer. What makes it worse is that you need to beat all the enemies on a super hard difficulty where you die with a single hit in order to reach the final boss for the game. This is some unfair, sadistic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Absolutely not worth breaking a couple keyboards over.
It's genuine enough.
Honestly not a fan of the shooting in this game, needing to click on your character just takes away any fun of moving/dodging/killing. Maybe other's will say it's just a skill issue, but clicking, charging and releasing just for nothing to fire really takes any joy out of playing.
While I was hoping that the third time would be the charm on new-to-me games today, this is the most immediately unplayable of the bunch, and is arguably even more broken on a fundamental level than the other two, to the point of it being unplayable. Demerits: - The “Back” button in the options menu does nothing when you click it, and ESC exits the game without saving anything. - No reason exists, other than to over-complicate things, why you need to click and hold in a direction to fire your particles. Merely clicking would have been fine. - Rhyme or reason is not present on if the projectiles fire out at full-screen, or pathetically flick out and return - Incredibly floaty, slippery controls feel like you're giving the suggestion to move, rather than moving. - While the trailer shows the ability to slow time, this feature is not told to the player in any of the tutorial segments. - Speaking of lack of communication, What the player is supposed to do in any given level is a total mystery, as the first level (Greed) was fine, the second (Aptly named “Anger”) seemingly-impossible, (as aiming at the flashing bit caused the enemy to snap across the screen and kill you...)., and the third? Enemy is seemingly invincible. - If you die in a level, which seems impossible to not do as a result of the abysmal character handling, you are booted back to its door, meaning rather than just pushing "restart" you need to push up, grab your mouse, move it to "very" (more on that below) and go back in. - The second difficulty is a non-descript “Very”, which adds to the pimpression this is either unfinished, and untested, or obtuse for the sake of being “Arty”. - It apparently crashed while I was idling for Cards while at dinner. Suggested Fixes: - Give some direction to the player. Nothing I did felt like anything but luck. - Refine the controls to a massive degree, taking the slipperiness out of lateral movement, and floatiness out of the vertical. - Fix the button that even 30 seconds in-game shows as non-working, or otherwise map ESC to “Back”, Verdict: I stopped before the wanton rage set in, but think this is more than deserving of 6: Traumatically Toxic ...as from what I've seen, little testing was done, and it seems difficult and impenetrable for the sake of being both of those things. I shall thus idle it for the remaining cards, and be moving on to something hopefully enjoyable.
I bought this game on a whim since I felt like buying a game and I have a friend named David. This was a great experience and if anyone wants to try it and has two dollars to spare, you won't regret it. People are complaining about the controls of this game and forget that this is a PHYSICS-based game which adds another layer to the game. It's an intentional design and it makes the game fun.
💋
I got this game because it had trading cards. I was pleasantly surprised. David is fun to play as and actually kind of challenging! The graphics are simple, the game is easy to run, the enemies are unique for each level, and the "weapon" you are given has a simple yet interesting mechanic for using it. I'm still getting used to the controls, but I've had fun jumping through space and battling triangles. If you have some excess money in your wallet and enjoy 2D platformers, I definitely recommend this game. I love my little cube guy :)
i am david.
小黑盒九毛钱买的 游戏玩法挺简单的 就wsad控制方向 鼠标控制攻击 挺上瘾的 但是玩法单一 有些关卡很难 当休闲游戏玩也不太合适 挂时长刷卡还行
