I was so disappointed when I played this game. It is extremely boring, and every level is the same. don't buy it if you expect to have a fun game that will last you more than an hour because you can finish the game in less than one hour. It was so not worth my time and money.

Monster High Skulltimate Secrets is a ghoulishly terrifying experience...and not in the way they were intending. Now, I'm going to be objective about this and not mention G1 MH since that would be un-scare. For a $40 game, this is a very barebones game. Luckily, my husband bought it off of Humble Bundle that went to charity. Even at $15.99 is still too much of an asking price. Don't let my playtime fool you, 50% of that was just me running back and forth doing side quests because the school's architects refused to put teleport statues on the 3rd floor (which completing isn't even an achievement). Character customization is almost nonexistent with clothing being the same 4 or so outfits being recolors. You are restricted to about 7 monster types, which doesn't even make any difference with the gameplay or dialogue. Speaking of dialogue, the game gives you dialogue options for some reason. No matter your choice, the main characters just ignore you while Frankie just straight up takes credit for a lot of the things you do. These are some of the worst friends you can have. But that's o-slay, because you also have an assortment of randomly generated side characters such as Edgy Seamonster, Smart Werecat, and Scared Gorgon. The gameplay was all fright, though.

This game is so shallow and mechanically underdeveloped that you'd honestly get more entertainment out of buying an actual Monster High fashion doll and playing with that instead. The core objective (and the plot awkwardly built around it) feels like the sort of side content that should occupy maybe 15 minutes of a larger game, yet it's stretched into the entire experience with only superficial variation. Rather than delivering a platformer that captures the personality, creativity, and style of the source material, it settles for the bare minimum. This is not a game inspired by the series; this is an empty shell that they simply slapped the branding onto. If your defense to this criticism is that "it's just a game for little girls," then you've already completely missed the point. Children's games have never needed to be this empty. Developers were making polished, imaginative licensed games for younger audiences twenty years ago and many of them still hold up today. Kids deserve games that respect their intelligence, and Monster High deserved an adaptation that respected the series.

Completed all achievements within 5 hours, Its a good game, abit repetitive with the "hidden doors", But overall a decent game. I'd recommend to get this game when its cheap/on sale.

Monster High is a very lovely but short game where you can create your character and start your year at Monster High School...from your first day you will be joining some other chracters from the series and you will need to solve the mystery around school..the story is good but short and very fun for you and maybe for your kid ...if you love the series or not this game is just very good for a chill night/day ...have fun !

Disappointing. The game play and controls are some of the best of the series, level designs are fine and the overall look of the game is pretty cute. However, for a fan of gen 1 Monster High, and who played the previous games, doesn't compare and doesn't know their target audience. We wanted more Monster High characters, not randomly-dressed and named NPCs. As well as very lack-luster fashion that is re-skins of the main three. Glad I bought on discount. I assume this wasn't to a fault of the developers, probably the budget was low and were only given a limited amount of assets to do much with. I'm sure some kids would love this, but don't touch this due to any nostalgia you think you may have. Edit: Finished main game (only doing one side quest) in 4 hours. Could have done it faster as well.

Итак... Что мы имеем? Я не знаю как это адекватно оценивать. Если вы любите новое поколение Монстр Хай - то можете смело покупать это. Чисто как для фанатов это норм. Но по факту мы имеем только 7 оригинальных персонажей из мультфильма. Всех остальных тупа куда то выкинули. С нами "бегают" три подружки: Фрэнки, Дракулаура и Клодин. И то они никакой особой функции не выполняют. Мельком что то болтают во время квестов.. А, ну еще комнаты помогают открывать. Но даже я, которая вылизывала каждый угол, не смогла отыскать все монеты и сундуки ибо территория тут ну ооооочень большая и одинаковая. Возмем как пример по истинне классную игру Monster High: New Ghoul in School 2015 года, где на каждой локации были персонажи мультфильмов и полнометражек, с которыми можно было поболтать на темы, интересные этому персонажу. Здесь же мы имеем около 20 кастомных (как и мы сами) монстров, которые плюс минус говорят одно и то же. Они либо сидят, либо стоят либо просто ходят. Из-за этого складывается ощущение какой-то пустоты и одиночества от этих больших розовых стен. Опять таки, школа огроооомная. Полно пустых неживых классов, куда раскидали по парочке челиков ну просто чтобы были. Из второстепенных персонажей мультфильма мы имеем: Клео, Лагуна, Дьюс и Директриса Бладгуд. И все. Ладно, окей. Забудем про персонажей. Что по поводу самой игры? Собираем ключи. Хорошо, это прикольно. Получаем навыки, которые отличаются друг от друга только анимацией. Бесполезная штука. Кстати про анимацию. Разрабам походу было лень делать анимацию плаванья раз мы в игре можем подыхать от воды. Что еще? Побочные квесты? Максимально скучная убивалка времени. Все диалоги в дополнительных квестах я проскипала. Бесило что эти квесты распаложены абсолютно по всей школе. Добеги в одно место, найди какой то скрытый пиксель в стене, который не помечается адекватно на карте, вернись обратно к тому челу, у кого брал квест. Теперь опять иди в другой конец карты и на 2 этажа выше чтобы опять какую то шляпу забрать, опять вернись к началу. Ой, а там на верхнем этаже оказывается еще кто то квест дает. Опять иди к нему и читай реплики по типу: "Вау! Ух ты! Клыкклассно! С ума сойти! Ура!" И буквально почти все такие дополнительные задания дают совершенно обычные и ни чем не запоминающиеся челики. Так что без помощи карты эти квесты пройти нереально. Хотя очень бы хотелось все находить самой. Что, к сожалению, невозможно из-за странных обозначений предметов и квестов и самих челиков... И кстати о графике игры.. Monster High: New Ghoul in School была выпущена 2015 года. И как по мне, графика там намного круче чем в этой игре. Здесь мы имеем: лампы, которые без текстур висят с потолка, странные тени от предметов, расплывчатые текстуры, фонтаны, которые совсем не похожи на фонтаны. Да даже тот самый кастом главной героини. Здесь же мы имеем миллион одинаковых вещей, которые слегка меняют окраску. А если выбрать персонажа Горгону, то навечно ходи в этих дурацкий очках, которые даже поменять нельзя. По поводу магазина одежды в игре. Как завезли изначально штук 15 шмоток, так они и останутся до самого конца игры, никак не обновляясь и не пополняясь. Про цену я ничего говорить не буду. Решайте сами. Вообщем, можно долго что то говорить об этой игре. Скажу в целом так, как сказала в самом начале... Если вы реальный фанат нового поколения - покупайте. Прикольно побегать по школе. Но это только на первые часика-полтора. А вообще лучше потратьте эти деньги на куклы. От них и то больше кайфа у вас будет, чем от этой игры. Даже если это куклы нового поколения. Извините за ошибки. У меня все.

It feels a lot like playing one of those old Harry Potter games, where the whole school is free roam, but missions are split into these seperate 3D platformer levels and mini games. It is the exact same concept here. The overall gameplay is fun, intuitive and easy, which is all you really want when your main audience are little girls. The character creator is also decent for what it is, but it could have offered more in terms of accessories options and color choices, especially for a franchise that is so heavy on unique fashion. You do unlock quite a bit of new clothing pieces along the way as mission awards and hidden collectables, but it still doesn't feel like enough. The only big issue I have with this game though is that the models don't really resemble the real dolls very well, at least not as well as it did in the previous game, Monster High: New Ghoul in School. This new art direction doesn't really resemble this brand very well and I don't think most people would know that the models in the game were Monster High if they didn't know the title of the game. I still recommend this though. I think it is one of the better choices in this genre of little girl games available here on Steam. It offers more in terms of gameplay than most of these games usually do e.g. any of the barbie games and if you are or know someone who is a fan of this franchise, the free roaming should be pretty fun, since the whole school is avaliable. As a new game released 10 years after the last one, it feels like it should offer more content and longer playtime. With such a great school setting, it’s disappointing that we can’t even attend classes. I really love Monster High, and I wish there were more ways to interact and connect with the characters

this is uglier than new ghoul in school from 2015. and is almost more boring. i have 4 hours on this with all achievements. i never want to touch this game again.
