I love this game! The Story is good! I know I might played it somewhat far too late but I love it!

Why did I buy this game? I kind of hate visual novels, and that is what this is. Still, something must have drawn me to it. Probably the dating sim aspect of it. Unfortunately, it is a dating sim where you get to choose from a hand-full of androgynous men. No females. When I play these games, I play as a lesbian. It doesn't help that the game has one of the most cliched horror settings of all times: stranded in a mansion with stranger on a stormy night. How is the game play? About what you would expect from these type of games: lots a boring dialogue with you getting a choice once every dozen dialogues. As for the choices, they are binary, meaning either this or that. No third option. As for the story...I found it boring teeny bopper drivel one would expect in a juvenile romance written for middle school girls of limited sophistication. The game isn't all bad. When you are finally given a choice, you get to play a fun mini game of connecting wires to the response you want. This mini-game reminded me a lot of the hacking in Bioshock, except without the timer. And there are 11 different endings. If i could play the mini game and just skip to the choices, it might be worth the effort. Summary: if you think Bioshock was about the hacking mini-game, or if you are a middle school girl who likes boys more than books, pick this game up for cheap. Otherwise, there are much more mature and engrossing dating sims on Steam.
Not recommend if you just want to pick a choice to go further with the story, because you have to solve puzzles with weird wires. And I failed quite early. Why am I supposed to do electro-logic-fumbling with lines (with too many loose ends) when I just want to read a story? - Nope, that's demotivating.
Very fun game, I played it back in 2015 and oh how i missed linds.
I played this game many years, and many computers ago. Fun. Quirky. Kinda liked the random mini games. Strong nod to Rocky Horror (no. stronger than that). And like Rocky Horror, it's a B game. Which Im just gonna go ahead and say was on purpose.
Poor Janet had to deal with her alternate self trapped in the portal, close the damn thing herself, and also comfort five soyboys along the way.
Hanako Games never disappoints
