Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Same day: best AU #89, worst UK #97 · 2 markets collected
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5/day in the week to Sep 11 → 24.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

There’s been a backlog of unsolved cases piling up in the Minor Crimes Division of the Los Zorangeles Police Department and we’ll need a Database Detective to help solve them.
We’ll need you to analyze clues and manipulate data using SQL, a database querying language, to figure out who perpetrated crimes from as minor as littering to as serious as not checking out of a hotel after the check-out time.

Don’t worry! This role is intended to be accessible for those without any SQL experience, so each Database Detective is given an introductory textbook when they start! This short textbook is less than 20 pages and explains everything that’s needed to solve each case.
If you still have trouble writing queries, our comprehensive error messaging system will tell you exactly where your query went wrong, making it easy to correct your mistakes.
Still not enough? Each Database Detective is assigned an assistant who’s ready to answer any questions you might have, whether they be about the case itself or the SQL queries you’ll need to write!

Understanding how to manipulate data using SQL is not the only part of being a Database Detective! Your job will also require you to piece together evidence and clues, just like a real detective! Further on in your Database Detective career, you’ll have to sleuth through the internet and piece cases together yourself.
Fully voice acted mission briefings at the beginning of each case!
Fully hand drawn art for you to enjoy!
More than 40 websites to explore!
10 cases for you to solve, each case getting longer and more complex!
A total of around 8-10 hours of valuable work experience to add to your resume!

i have never used sql before but the puzzles are so fun and crazy. finishing the game felt very rewarding. navigating sql was definitely harder than figuring out the path to solving the case. would recommend if you know sql or if tortuously navigating 10000000 tables and browser tabs is fun and rewarding to you (this one is me)
Super cute game! I write SQL queries for work, so why would I want to do it on my time off?! Because I want to catch minor criminals, of course!

This game is fantastic!! Would highly recommend if you liked HypnoSpace Outlaw and enjoy programming games. The mysteries pull no punches and doesn't hold your hand! I was very happy with the level of difficulty and logic. There were definitely some head scratchers in here and the solves were incredibly satisfying.
Fun cases and a nice way to learn some SQL. Humor is silly and will be hit or miss for you, but the fake websites you explore are fun to explore. Another good entry in the "Fake OS" genre.
GOATED
This game managed to make SQL raise the correct errors and does not overload your screen with tables The logical thinking part takes up most of the game and the sql part just there to support it, so there will be no complex queries, and many approaches to a problem This game is very high quality for its price
Been such a pleasure playing this game. I love the art and whole experience. I never used sql before so its nice to learn. Good game to put your brain in work!
As someone who had self studied SQL and enjoys games a little too much. This is a pretty neat way to get a refresher on SQL while on my rest day. This is pretty enjoyable, a large part I believe is because the solution to each puzzle isn't to create an exact/precise query to solve the problem. Technically for all of these puzzles you don't even need a query, you need a suspect's full name as the answer, it's just that it would take ages to get the answer through brute force. You are not forced to re-create a query and are not told that your query is wrong, the game just lets you flex whatever creativity you have to write your own queries to help with solving the puzzle (while having a decent feedback for when your syntax is incorrect). Theres also a tutorial documentation ingame for beginners to SQL, so the product is pretty inclusive for both being a game and a learning tool. It scratches that same itch as when I get an idea (a goal) for a personal project and just go with my own approach to make something that works.
Puzzle games aren't my usual fare but I loved this one. The level of difficulty felt just right. Later cases are somewhat challenging but I tended to make steady progress without getting stuck or backtracking much. Even if you do get stuck the little moleman assistant in the corner appears to be surprisingly good at giving just the right hints depending on what you're working on when asked. Just be aware that while SQL plays an important role, much of your time (depending on your SQL skills quite possibly most of it) will be spent scrounging funky 90s style websites for clues. That's mostly fun, too, though a few usability improvements (alt-tabbing, more keyboard shortcuts, browser favorites, ...) would have been nice.
Been looking for games like this that introduce programming/technology concepts since I played "The Farmer Was Replaced". If you have any interest in learning sql this is a very worthwile game. It doesn't hold your hand in a good way. letting you make mistakes and go back and correct them. even though I haven't played through the entire game yet each case has felt unique.
