Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.43/day in the week to Aug 8 → 5.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I've always remembered Darksiders II as overly long, bloated and kind of uninspired... and that still rings true today. While I did enjoy it more on this second visit, this game just doesn't have enough juice in the creative tank to justify its 20+ hour runtime. The opening area is lush and beautiful, but once you get into the drab and bleak Land of the Dead, things quickly peter out. The dungeons are fine on their own, but there are just too many of them and most don't feel very interesting or distinct. Then after 2 open field areas the remaining maps are just straight shots to a single dungeon, so that gave me the impression that they were maybe running out of time, or had bigger ideas planned that they couldn't expand on. That being said, there are still enough spots where I was having fun dungeon-crawling and piecing together the best gear for Death. Seeing as I enjoyed this more than my first playthrough I would've left a positive review, but the unfinished state of this pc version is what tips me over the edge into the negative side. There's a closed beta build that looks very pretty, but is a stuttering and unplayable mess. It's a shame this got abandoned because it would've been great to get the updated console release over to the pc side. For the most stable release the vanilla version is your best bet.

A lot of hardlocks due to poor optimization for modern systems or something, some can be fixed but certainly not through the game's settings itself, because why would it. NVIDIA control panel works for some glitches like the white screen hardlock
good story good gameplay old but good

*Darksiders II* feels like someone took a dark fantasy comic, mixed it with Zelda-style dungeon design, and then threw in a big, stylish action RPG on top. And somehow, that combo just works. You play as Death, which already sets the tone: everything is a bit more grim, a bit more mythological, but also strangely elegant. The world design is massive and full of vertical exploration, secrets, and side paths that actually feel rewarding to dig into. The combat is fast and flashy, with a strong focus on combos, loot, and build variety. It leans more into RPG systems than the first game, which gives you a lot of freedom in how you shape your playstyle. Sometimes it gets a bit loot-heavy, but when it clicks, it feels really satisfying. Dungeons are one of the highlights. They’re clearly inspired by classic action-adventure design, with puzzles, progression items, and that feeling of slowly unlocking a space until it all opens up. Overall, *Darksiders II* is a bold, bigger, more RPG-focused sequel that trades some of the simplicity of the first game for depth and scale. If you like action games with exploration, loot, and a strong dark fantasy identity, this one still holds up really well.
