Игра явно вдохновляется Террарией, ибо сильно похожа на неё. Геймплей тот же, но с более красивым визуалом, основанным на псевдо-3D картинке. Ну и в игре своя нагнетающая атмосфера, за счёт игры света и темноты. Большая часть игры происходит в темноте, а источником света является ваш фонарик и окружающие предметы. В принципе, на этом построен и сюжет игры. В остальном же такой же выживастик, как Террария. Исследуете локации, находите предметы, занимаетесь крафтом и строительством, выполняете квесты, ну а главное пытаетесь просто выжить. Крафт в игре весьма обширен, интересен и разнообразен. В общем, для своего жанра игра весьма неплоха, имеет свою атмосферу, за счёт приятного визуала и грамотного музыкального сопровождения. Если любите песочницы, то советую заценить.

[h1] Run around like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ harvesting resources and other stuff. Craft base resources from raw material and equipment that will help you explore alien world. You have to keep area lit to avoid danger. Most of the time it's hard to see your character as the game is mostly dark. There's auto button for harvesting many types of resources with single action (proper tool is used automatically). For crafting you receive tech points which allow for inventing new stuff. Gameplay feels kinda boring and takes a lot of time to get somewhere. No music, sounds are ok I guess. Play if you like games like Terraria. [/h1]

Had a lot of promise, never delivered. Literally. Was rushed out the doors before complete. I was looking forward to it a lot, but it didn't have enough hype to keep the developers in business. So they had to shut their doors. It was about them lying or anything, they just didn't have the money to keep going. 556 reviews, and probably about 5k in total sales. It's a shame, really. Showed great potential.

Игра классная и красивая. Интересно исследовать и развиваться. Как песочница вообще огонь. Сюжет - интересный, но не законченный, и закончен не будет (разрабы забросили игру). Можно воспринимать это как безнадёжность космического кораблекрушения. Своих денег стоит, имхо. Я не пожалел.

Most of the menu is off-screen. Can't even start the game, or get to the options to try and change the resolution.

As I reinstalled darkout once again, as I really enjoyed playing it from time to time, I found it's now effectively broken. The graphic doesn't show raw ressources (coal, copper ore, iron ore, etc) in the ground anymore. You get the tooltip, if the cursor hovers right over it, but its otherwise invisible, making the game unplayable with rare ressources unfindable.
