Dark Parables: The Swan Princess and The Dire Tree Collector's Edition

I love these kind of games, but this one sucks! DANG this game is not good!

I would recommend this game to anyone. 4.5 stars.

This has got to be my least favorite Dark Parable game. It's just so underwhelming and the puzzles are either too vague or just overly complicated to the point where they are unplayable. Very few puzzles were fun to solve, most were headaches trying to figure out what the puzzle was even about. I REALLY wanted to like this game due to Swan Princess being one of my favorite childhood movies. This and the Goldilocks game, I've noticed the Dark Parables have gone a little downhill. I hope the next game can get back it's original quality. Just so disappointed here.

Since I've been following this game series for years, I would highly, HIGHLY promote it to people who like actually good storylines and casual game play. This is definitely a game would consider relaxing and a good way to end a day.

Another excellent title in the Dark Parables collection. This has been my favourite so far. At over 6 hours this is an unusually good value. The art was beautiful and the story was interesting and consistent throughout. My only complaint about the story is that it's a grab bag of fairy tale tropes but so are most HOGs! Definitely recommended.

I need a healthier outlet for my self-loathing. Okay, more seriously: the plot is dumb, which is... okay. The art is pretty. It's static screen, not like those phone port games, which is good. It's got that annoying thing where half the time you're just backtracking around with the latest odd-shaped key. It has map travel, so that's a plus. But the mini-games aren't very good, and the HOPs are actually a bit sparse. So by the end, I hated it, hence the starting comment. 2/5, wouldn't recommend unless you've run out of HOGs that aren't phone ports.
