Clementine Valley used to be the place to be! It was world renowned for its fantastic fruit trees lovingly tended to by Old Jim. Unfortunately Jim has lost the energy to grow enough fruit to keep the locals happy, let alone attract the tourists Clementine Valley used to have.

The only interesting part of this game is wondering why Square Enix acquired the publishing rights
All the bad reviews are true.
I got this from the Eidos bundle. Easily one of the worst from the lot, and riddled with bugs. 1/10
上来在农场种了一会苹果,太枯燥了,感觉没啥意思,就这样吧。
Thoughts
Okay, so i have no idea where this game came from, and I originally thought it was some weird adult game i picked up at some point. Turns out i was wrong, but i kinda wish I wasn't.

Story📖 Grow tree, make money.

Gameplay🎮 Grow tree, sell apple.

Difficulty💪 Simple.

Length⏱️ None worth giving.

Visuals🎨 Clip art.

Audio🎵 Cheap.

Performance⚡️ Struggles, when it really shouldn't.

Price💰 This costs actual money?

Worth Getting? 🤔 No, don't.

Story

You find some magic gloves and grow some trees to bring back people to the town.

Gameplay

You use your cursor to hover over a tree to grow it, then you click on fruit to cut it down, and then serve to customers. That's the loop. Once you get enough money and complete a task you buy the next location, and repeat.
Difficulty

Not very hard at all, you only need your mouse, and some time.
Length

Game broke on me pretty quickly and I just couldn't be bothered. I have no idea how some people unironically have so many hours in it.

Visuals, Audio, and Performance
Visuals

Basic and boring backdrops for the levels.
Trees look like you have opened up paint and drawn them using the shape tools.
Characters are just whatever, they fit the game. Poor, and looped animations.
Audio

The music is a couple of strums on a guitar looped with some other effects thrown in, and none of it sounding any good.
You can easily hear the sound effect audio tracks cut off.
Performance and Bugs

Random FPS drops, stutters with certain animations, when it really shouldn't.
Doesn't support many resolutions, not that you really need it for this game.
Game almost refused to run when i was trying to watch youtube on the side.
I alt-tabbed at one point and then for some reason the day never ended, so i just served customers infinitely, then when i quit my progress was gone. It looks like i also got this game Eidos Anthology Bundle. I played the game for a bit and it reminds me of games i played long time ago such as Diner Dash, Sally Salon and Pizza Frenzy. Unfortunately i don't have fun with this game, so i stopped playing quickly. For newcomers of this kind game (sometimes referred as "Dash" games), i'd recommend to play Diner Dash first rather than Flora's Fruit Farm. And as additional information, highest supported resolution is 1280x960 where full screen seems to do basic upscale.
nice
Flora's Fruit Farm is a lighthearted casual management game developed by Honeyslug and published by Square Enix. Rather than pursuing realism, it embraces a whimsical fantasy setting where magical gardening powers transform a neglected valley into a thriving destination filled with colorful orchards and cheerful visitors. Although the game is rooted in the classic time-management genre that was especially popular in the late 2000s, its accessible mechanics and upbeat presentation continue to offer an enjoyable experience for players looking for relaxing yet engaging gameplay. The adventure follows Flora, a young gardener entrusted with restoring Clementine Valley after its longtime caretaker, Old Jim, is no longer able to maintain the famous orchards. Armed with enchanted gardening gloves, Flora can instantly grow extraordinary fruit trees capable of producing magical harvests. The narrative is intentionally simple, serving primarily as a framework for the gameplay, but it succeeds in creating a pleasant atmosphere where every completed task contributes to reviving the valley's former popularity and helping its residents prosper once again. At its core, the game revolves around efficient resource and time management. Players must grow fruit trees, collect ripe produce, fulfill customer requests, and carefully organize their actions to maximize profits. Success depends on planning several steps ahead while responding quickly to changing situations. The gameplay remains easy to understand from the beginning, yet later stages gradually introduce greater complexity as the number of available crops, customers, and responsibilities continues to increase. This steady progression gives the game a satisfying learning curve without becoming intimidating for newcomers. One of the game's highlights is its impressive collection of fifty different fruit trees spread across eight unique locations. Every new environment introduces additional fruit varieties and fresh objectives, encouraging players to experiment with different strategies instead of relying on the same routine throughout the campaign. Exploration also extends beneath the surface, allowing players to discover hidden seeds and flower bulbs among tree roots, adding another rewarding layer to progression beyond simply harvesting fruit. Customer satisfaction plays an equally important role. Various visitor types each arrive with distinct preferences, requiring players to recognize demand and prioritize the appropriate crops. Serving customers efficiently increases earnings while maintaining the fast pace that defines the experience. Instead of focusing solely on farming, the game blends agricultural management with quick decision-making, making every level feel like a race against time where smart planning is rewarded more than frantic clicking. The farm is rarely peaceful for long. Hungry birds constantly attempt to steal valuable fruit, while troublesome gophers interfere with productivity and force players to divide their attention between multiple responsibilities. These unexpected obstacles prevent the gameplay from becoming too predictable, requiring constant awareness as players balance harvesting, planting, customer service, and pest control simultaneously. Fortunately, Flora gains assistance from a helpful squirrel companion capable of handling certain tasks, providing welcome support during particularly hectic stages. Beyond the main campaign, the inclusion of Challenge Mode extends the game's longevity by offering additional scenarios designed to test players' mastery of the mechanics. These optional stages demand greater efficiency and stronger multitasking skills, making them an enjoyable addition for players who have already completed the primary adventure and want more demanding objectives. Visually, Flora's Fruit Farm embraces a bright cartoon-inspired art style that perfectly complements its cheerful tone. The colorful fruit trees, lively animations, and inviting environments create an atmosphere that feels welcoming from beginning to end. While the visuals clearly reflect the technological limitations of their release period, they possess a timeless charm that fits the game's relaxed personality. The soundtrack reinforces this mood with pleasant, unobtrusive melodies that make lengthy play sessions comfortable without becoming repetitive or distracting. Despite its strengths, the game does have limitations. The overall gameplay loop can eventually become repetitive, especially for players seeking greater variety or deeper simulation systems. Its mechanics remain intentionally straightforward, and veterans of modern farming or management games may find the experience somewhat simplistic compared to contemporary releases. Certain interface elements and controls also reveal the game's age, while occasional technical issues reported by some players may slightly affect the overall experience depending on system compatibility. Even with these shortcomings, Flora's Fruit Farm succeeds by remaining focused on delivering accessible entertainment. It never attempts to overwhelm players with overly complicated mechanics, instead offering a polished balance of farming, customer management, exploration, and time-based challenges. Its magical setting distinguishes it from traditional farming simulators, while the steady introduction of new trees, locations, and objectives keeps the adventure engaging throughout its campaign. For fans of classic casual management games, Flora's Fruit Farm remains a charming title that combines simple mechanics with rewarding progression and an inviting atmosphere. Its emphasis on quick thinking, colorful presentation, and satisfying multitasking creates an experience that is easy to enjoy in both short and extended play sessions. While it may not deliver the depth expected from modern farming simulations, it stands as a delightful example of the time-management genre and continues to offer plenty of wholesome entertainment years after its original release. Rating: 6/10
An old man gave me a pair of magic gloves so I can touch wood and grow it bigger to serve customers. Also, I can pump up my apples for bigger tips!
