About
Dangerous Galaxy is a rogue-lite with physics-based combat and extensive ship upgrading, where you explore procedurally generated star systems, manage resources, and fight enemies and boss battles to save the galaxy from evil.
Extensive ship upgrading system:
Over 35 unique passive and active ship upgrades with unique effects based on their tiers.
Unlockable main weapons that you can choose before each run.
Freedom to build the ship in a way that you want by stacking passive and active upgrades, as long as they connect to the core of the ship.
Each upgrade can be leveled up, and active upgrades present a unique choice of what power to add to the upgrade.
The player can hold up to 4 active abilities at any time.
Fun physics-based combat:
Every object (including the player) can be pushed away, bumped into, or destroyed.
Active abilities (like rockets) can create explosions or gravity-altering effects.
Procedurally generated star systems and levels:
The game is split into 4 stages. Each stage has a procedurally generated star system.
Star systems have many levels, and each level is procedurally generated (except the boss battles).
As you travel through the star system, the danger and difficulty of it increase, as shown in the danger meter below.
Discover special events that allow you to choose one out of three upgrades and lost cargo containers.

Sci-Fi Roguelite Sidescroller / Shoot 'em Up. Destroy enemies and bosses in procedurally generated levels to earn resources to upgrade your spaceship. Gameplay: https://youtu.be/S0-61W3M9Hg You choose a difficulty level, an unlockable primary weapon, and begin a run consisting of four stages with procedurally generated levels and boss battles (boss rooms are permanent, not generated). Your ship has one life. When the energy bar is empty, the run ends, and you start over from the beginning, but you can repair your ship between levels in the hub using the money you earn. In the hub, you can sell loot and buy modules with active (weapons and shields) and passive abilities. For active abilities, you select buttons (you can use up to four active abilities in battle). The hub store displays five random modules for purchase. The store's inventory will automatically refresh the next time you visit the hub. You can lock in your current goods to keep it on sale or immediately update the assortment for a price. Modules must be placed in the ship's hull around the core, taking into account the glowing connectors. Connectors can be purchased separately and inserted into any module. Modules of the same type can be combined to create a module with higher quality. You can also purchase ship inventory expansion. All modules purchased during a run are lost upon death, but you can purchase permanent upgrades with earned experience points and select an unlocked primary weapon in the main menu. + 5 difficulty levels. + 4 procedurally generated stages. + Boss battles. + Permanent upgrades that make gameplay easier. + 12 primary weapons (unlocked with the passing game, and selectable before the run). + Over 35 ship upgrade modules. + Achievements. I didn't really like this at first but then I put 10 hours in it while I was unlocking basically everything, so clearly there was something compelling about it. Also the dev is really cool and patched basically every way I managed to crash the game within 12 hours each time once I started complaining to them on Discord about the game crashing. Anyway, my main gripe is that the balance is a little wonky - if you ever get strong enough to just start annihilating 100% of the background rocks, you get powerful enough to win the game immediately, especially since the rocks are far more numerous and also frequently more individually valuable than the actual enemies. That said, it can be hard to get that strong, especially on the higher difficulties, but I still managed it even on the highest. Maybe that'll get patched, maybe it won't. So yeah, thumbs up. Not a huge one, but a $5 shmup that compelled me to keep playing for 10 hours at leaset deserves that.

I like this game. The gameplay feels fun and chaotic in the best way, as the physics make every fight unpredictable, which keeps things exciting. Each run plays out differently thanks to random level generation, and experimenting with different weapons and upgrades is genuinely enjoyable. The visuals and music create a cozy space vibe, and the game runs smoothly as well. I didn’t run into any serious bugs or issues while playing. Some moments could use a bit more balance tuning, but overall the experience is engaging and easy to get into. If you enjoy space games crafted with heart and passion, this game is definitely worth trying.
Concept is simple. Game is progressive, intense, roguelite addictive. The only thing I do not like largely, is that I cannot save my progress mid-run. If for example I have only 1 hour of time, and didn't managed to finish the run withing that hour, I need to start again... That is a common practice in a lot of such games but I truly believe that devs could be a bit more merciful to a simple working family human. Still, recommended!
Clever little space shooter rogue-like. Seems simple at first, but contains quite a bit of depth and difficulty. Lots of build variety between runs. Plenty of different weapons to try out and unlock. The weapons / upgrades system becomes a bit of a puzzle game as you try to cram as much as possible into your ship. Asteroid physics keeps gameplay difficult. Overall a fun experience for five bucks!
Super fun and easy to play and like any rogue-lite the more you play the better it gets. Would definitely recommend as a great time killer or something to hold you over while your waiting on your next 250gb game download from all the AAA companies these days.
Pretty Fun , really chill game
Dangerous Galaxy nails everything a space action game should. The combat is fast and satisfying, the ship customization is deep without being confusing, and the world feels huge and mysterious. The atmosphere and soundtrack are top-tier. If you love space games, this one is absolutely worth your time.
Really fun little rogue like game, plenty of weapons to unlock and stats to upgrade as you play more of the game. Big selection of active and passive abilities as well, so there are lots of ways to customise each playthrough. The level design is pretty simple early on, but it gets better and more varied as you go along, the boss fights at the end of each level are definitely the highlight of the game though. Would recommend!
