Delightful. A new indie darling if anyone has any damn sense. Retro charm with an aesthetic that stands out, some creative boss fights, overall a lot of fun to complete. Not especially difficult, but some may see this as a bonus. I think a boss rush would be beautiful, because I am a glutton for the boss fights. Seriously, I really liked them.
2 hours in so far (EDIT: Steam is wrong about my playtime!) and it’s a good metroidvania with nice pixel art, though I’m finding it very easy (which isn’t a complaint, just my taste). Also works perfectly on Steam Deck. Also that Despacito jumpscare lol
A labor of love made real, this game was a delightful experience. Gorgeous art with incredibly catchy music, and an emotional plot that knows how to ponder itself. It's a fun game, a meaningful one, and something I'm glad I played. I enjoyed exploring its world and seeing what it had in store. I hope anyone reading this is willing to give the game a shot! Not many people get to finish the games they make. Hopefully anyone who tries to make their games can see them become real one day,

Love the game and love verolana downnnnnn clerestory so fab boots
This game is an excellent adventure that combines fun Megaman Zero/Metroidvania gameplay with a loving narrative and bright fun colors. There’s a lot to discover and play styles to use to your advantage.
Short and sweet Metrodvania with visuals that invoke Megaman influences, but with the smooth movement options of more modern games. You can dash around from the very start and there is a ton of flexibility in how to approach each environment. The boss fights all feel super memorable, and a few are really challenging. A bevy of accessibility tools means there is nobody I couldn’t recommend game to, just based on skill level. Under all of that is a touching story about grief, love, and Cycles. I was able to 100% it in about 4 hours and none of that time felt wasted on backtracking or hunting for secrets.
Loved every minute of this. The art and world design are absolutely gorgeous, and the story was touching, beautifully written, and really stuck with me. It’s rare to find something this original and meaningful. The boss fights were so creative and fun, each one felt unique without being frustrating. Now that it’s over, I already miss it. Huge respect to the dev for creating something this special.
Very fun and charming metroidvania: nice pixel art, interesting plot and lovable characters, cool bosses, great soundtrack (I've been unable to get the mall theme out of my head for days). It is quite easy though imho (I ended up equipping weaker items in order to have some challenge) but still enjoyable as a chill exploration game. The protagonist's movement feels a bit different than most platformers, but you get used to it quickly and the dash move you start the game with ends up being a very satisfying way to quickly move through the world.
Cycle is a labor of love and it shines through every area, every NPC, every track of music, every little detail. Playing it transported me to a fun, vibrant and incredible world that I think people should give a chance to! I struggle a lot with picking up videogames--let alone finish them, and it was such a mindless instinct to try and 100% this. The game allows you to play however you feel like it, has fun details and lore at every corner, and was just in general such a lovely time to me. Please play Cycle! You will not regret it!
