Cursed Fables: Twisted Tower Collector's Edition

This has to be one of the...oddest HOPA games. Much like the other in it's serious, it takes a fairy tale and gives it a strange spin. I know HOPA games in general are in/famous for just how bizarre they are, but this takes the cake. I got the feeling the developers actually had a lot of story ideas they wanted in the game, but didn't have the time or resources to round them out, and just crowded them into one game. But other than the oddenss, it's a decent enough of a HOPA. Though the animation is a little awkward at times, it's pretty average, but not bad. Personally, I would have enjoyed more HOPA scenes, and I felt this game did get short on them. All in all, pretty average. I suggest get it on sale, or just get it if you want something to laugh with your friends over at the weirdness.

About a 4 hour game, but nice graphics and easy to follow and play

The Cursed Fables is a series of very easy puzzle games, featuring royalty and sorcery in medieval settings. In each one, it turns out that a beloved fairytale protagonist (such as Snow White or Rapunzel) is actually evil, and it's up to you to stop her and to set things right. While this is an interesting premise, the story and the gameplay is nothing special, you just go from one stereotypical location to the next in a linear way (you hardly ever have to backtrack, since everything is always at hand in the same scene). Recommended for novice players who are getting familiar with puzzle games. The graphics are nice.
