Good game if you install the correct mods.
DO NOT BUY THIS GAME This game was such a good vibe back in 2016( or near that date) , and since it got out many years has passed Unfortunatly , the core of the game changed so much it became borderline frustrating. The worse thing about this, the developer once released here, never updated the game ONCE. I'm not lying, you can check the steam update history. This is quite literally a dead game

This game makes me sad. could of had something good but alas it was not meant to be. RIP cube world
Do not support this game, the two developers of this game Wollay and his wife are scam artists. Game was never intended to be completed and it shows a decade later.
This project had so much potential but was abandoned. My main gripe with this game was players being so unbelievably far away from one another on the world map that meeting up with them was so tedious to do. Overall the game is not fun to play in the state it was left in.
Game is completely abandoned and will most likely never be finished.
I downloaded Cube World Alpha when I was a young kid in middle school. One of my favorite games.. ever. I loved it so much and anytime I play the game it takes me back. I pray that one day Woollay finishes the game or reverts it to Alpha style. This game will always hold a special place in my heart, even if its not what it used to be! Here's to hopefully one day the game gets remastered/finished by Woollay
I waited years to be disappointed.
Dead abandoned game. Alpha is best way to play game. I hope Omega does come out though. I'm sure my great grandkids will love to play it.
Cube World: The Promised Land That Never Was
Cube World is a game that was supposed to be the next big thing—a procedurally generated, open-world RPG with infinite possibilities. It had promise, hype, and a devoted fanbase eagerly awaiting its arrival. And then… well, nothing. What could have been a groundbreaking game ended up as one of the biggest gaming “what-ifs” of all time. Let’s break down this pixelated disappointment. Graphics: 7/10 Visually, Cube World is charming. Its voxel art style is undeniably cute, and the world is colorful and inviting. It’s the kind of game that looks like a cross between Minecraft and an RPG dreamland. But looks can only carry you so far, especially when the rest of the game is as empty as a promise from a bad Kickstarter campaign. Gameplay: 5/10 (Because It Technically Exists) The core gameplay of Cube World had potential. You’ve got exploration, combat, crafting, and a sprawling open world to dive into. But that’s about where the excitement ends. The game feels hollow—like someone built a beautiful stage and forgot to write the script. Combat is repetitive, progression is slow, and for a game that promised infinite adventure, it somehow manages to feel lifeless. There’s just not enough to do, and what is there quickly wears thin. Development: 2/10 (AKA The Real Story Here) This is where things get tragic. Cube World was hyped up by its creator, Wolfram von Funck, as a revolutionary RPG experience. The alpha release in 2013 showed incredible promise, and fans rallied around the game, eagerly awaiting updates. But instead of building on the foundation, the game disappeared into development limbo for years. When Cube World finally resurfaced in 2019 with an official release, it was a shell of what players had hoped for. Features were missing, mechanics felt half-baked, and the magic was gone. It’s like waiting years for your favorite band’s reunion album, only to discover it’s 30 minutes of static. Exploration: 6/10 Exploration is one of Cube World’s saving graces. The world is vast, procedurally generated, and packed with little nooks and crannies to discover. But even this gets old fast. Without meaningful content to fill the world, exploration feels like wandering through a beautiful but empty art gallery. Soundtrack: 8/10 If there’s one thing Cube World did right, it’s the music. The soundtrack is soothing, atmospheric, and perfectly complements the game’s whimsical aesthetic. It’s the kind of music you’d put on in the background while doing literally anything other than playing the game. Final Verdict: 5/10 Cube World is a cautionary tale of hype, promise, and missed opportunities. What could have been a genre-defining game ended up as a forgotten relic of over-ambition and under-delivery. For the few hours it’s fun, the game is a reminder of what might have been. But for those who invested years of hope? It’s a bittersweet disappointment. If you’re curious, give it a try. Just don’t expect to find the epic RPG adventure you were promised. And if you’re one of those people still waiting for a meaningful update? Well, I’ve got some bad news.
