i was too harsh in my previous review although I feel like my feelings were justified my review was not. Cube world is an amazing game that I grew up waiting forever for and the release was horrible. It wasnt the alpha i grew up playing and loving and the dev seems to not care about it anymore which is sad. Hopefully I'm wrong and Cube World Omega will change my mind but currently I cannot recommend this game at all.
I get it, this game is abandoned and it's very hard to even progress through the game as everything is region locked and the story itself isn't the brightest. But I still find myself enjoying this game, it's relaxing, it's not a game you can really rush, and yea, sometimes, at least at the start, it's a bit frustrating. But I still love this game a lot.

The alpha version which you can probably find free on the internet is a VASTLY superior game in every aspect. Avoid this version at all cost.
There's some part of me that ALWAYS comes back to this game. For what it is, there's so much fun and potential. but it's also so depressing. Maybe because I know it was supposed to be so much more than it is. There was so much potential, so much love, but whatever went down behind the scenes just took that away from us. I honestly wish someone would buy the rights to this thing so it could be restored to it's former glory, maybe add some new things, and give us the game we never got to see. RIP Cube World, I'll see you the next time I have nothing else to play.
Wollay, dude, please. Stop being offended already. Make a proper game for once, like you promised. Otherwise, why the ♥♥♥♥ did I buy it?
Alpha 1.2 was perfect, alpha 1.3 had issues, and both of those were released roughly ten years ago now. This product is not the Cube World I came to love and enjoy. This is a bastardized step child born from abuse and incest compared to the alphas. An open world game where you reset your loadout progression every zone? Nah, I'm good.
Such a disappointment. I still think about this game, and even consider going back sometimes, and I’m always immediately reminded why I never should. A absolutely atrocious progression system completely ruins the experience of this game. Everything you do feels pointless because once you leave your current zone, all of your progress is completely wiped away. I hope one day the developer comes back and tries something new with this, because there is so much lost potential here.
Original pre-release was better. I hated losing my items as I went from one region to the next , it makes no sense.
Wollay, please get yourself into order and finally start working on this game or at least give up on it if you aren't just trying to scam people out of their money. Its just not right...
Imagine making an alpha game that rocks, spending the better half of a decade to change it into a worse version, then releasing it. Imagine not, for this is it.
