Can't start the game, from the community hub it seems like i need to install XNA drivers. I'd rather not install anything extra if it doesn't come with the game. Just update the game to include all drivers needed.
There is a lot of frustrating design here that puts me off from continuing the game. You got things coming from off screen to hit you, in a way you can't really see or react to till they are already pounding you. Enemies and attacks have a tendency to fill the screen with junk, and the color scheme and aesthetic really make things difficult to differentiate one thing from another. Its like everything blends into everything, and it creates this messy flow of combat due to the amount of just techno green and blue around. The cross hair and laser sight are really easy to lose track of in the middle of the sprawling mess of everything. The idea of alien artifacts and how to get them is fun, actually doing it is not. Melee enemies and some explosive attacks tend to turn you into a pinball as that bounces you to wall, which can lead to you just getting stuck in a corner, and just having to abandon the mission. Conceptually the idea of going around scavenging for alien artifacts and tech is fun, but I don't think the design choices here create a fun game to come back to.
I started playing this a couple weeks ago, and DAMN, it's good. I actually started to get better at the macro decision making after reading the top guide (The JP/EN one). It's how I learned that the Failsafe System copies the last system destroyed, and so does the Repair System's target. So moving fast and breaking things is probably the way until you destroy all the Repair Systems. Additional tips include:

Go Outside as much as possible, you're safe there and actually faster.
Flak Cannons are easy to dodge, just do a wide circle to make the projectiles miss you.
The timer is more of a suggestion, if you're doing all objectives, missing the deadline isn't the end of the world.
(Singleplayer only tip) Open the map as much as possible, it pauses everything and you'll easily find what you need to do next
Good luch with the final level, and happy hunting.
It is not a bad game But as some reviews say, you get shoot by outside the screen. Reminds me to oldschool browser games from the early 2000s.... there ae many nuances like the controls, the maps, the movement and the overall loadout presentation. Is not for me - I wouldn't say is a roguelike since you will lose the run when you run out of money. Is more like a permadeath - which is not bad thing. Overall, the asking price is a little too high for the product you get.
Didn't take long to get all the achievements but I enjoyed it.
This is very fun roguelike. Originally suggested by TotalBiscuit when it came out. It still holds up very good in 2026.
Cryptark is a twin stick-style rogue-like that blends frenetic action with careful planning to create something really special.
2D - cool enough game
