Reviews
Good idea bad execution, absolute grindfest on later tiers. I guess custom servers are more achievable with custom settings but still, some items required for end game and finishing the game are insane and hard to get, especially on pvp servers.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

If you play coop, there is no way to control where you spawn. If you want to spend 1 hour running toward each other to find your friend, have fun in this walking simulator.
Don't Judge it, BUY IT!
For anyone reading this review, Don't judge the game by its cover. I received this game via random key lottery, and it sat shelved for several days before I finally found the desire to open it up. Expecting just another virtual game to collect virtual dust, I would never have believed it would become my #1 most played game. Let me try to tell you why i love it in as few words as I possibly can starting with what I consider to be the BEST thing about CryoFall: It is not a Pay to Win (P2W) format, and you cannot simply purchase advancements and gear like most of today's skill based adventures. At its barebones core, the game is a casual skill/loot grind. As you progress, you earn Learning Points(LP) which are used to unlock more & more abilities, tools, stations, vehicles, weapons, etc. The LP system feels well thought-out, and doesn't feel stacked for or against the player meaning you earn LP at a rate that feels natural. The map is enormous, and in order to locate different areas you must physically travel to reveal what hides beneath the mysterious black curtain. Don't worry, there are quite a few "alien teleporters" which you can use to quickly travel to other teleport locations once you've discovered them. Combat is as "chill" as combat can be, and aside from the boss level baddies you'll be able to handle most of the monsters/enemies with pretty low level gear IF you are playing PVE-- which i recommend to all who are new to the game. There are PVP servers, and if I'm being honest I have spent too little time in them to be able to share my thoughts about them. There are many other (PVE) players, and I have yet to meet an unfriendly, unhelpful player to date. The community and players are all wonderful to engage with, will give you the shirt off their backs, and gear you up with whatever extra loot they have lying around. You'll spend your time hunting, foraging, mining, crafting, refining oil for fuel for your electrical grid, mobbing around on your hoverboards; just completely losing track of reality as you immerse yourself in this high quality virtual playground-- never once giving a toot about its indie quality graphics. The bottom line? It's worth well over the $20 asking price as of this writing. BUY IT, and I guarantee you will not be disappointed. If I'm wrong, you can find me on NA (North) PvE server in map quadrant i2 and have all of my gear. Thanks for reading, if you made it this far. And final note: I've never written a game review in my life as a 32 year old who has been gaming most of my life. If that doesn't say something about the quality of enjoyment found within CryoFall, then I don't know what will. See you out there, friend.
What I wanna know is why am I rubberbanding on localhost? Why does all wildlife hate me, personally? What is the point of melee if everything bleeds, poisons and mindmelts you if they reach you? Why does all gear disintegrate after two days of use? Why is it impossible to build next to a cliff? Why funny rock go boom? Is it really automation if I have to change the oil every five minutes? Why does the early exploration tutorial want you go to a place that you might not even find before finishing the game? The presentation is nice, even if I found the artstyle a bit weird. I've enjoyed the music. The occasional random events provide a nice motivation to get somewhere. And the whole game reminds me of things like Haven&Hearth and Wurm. But it feels like the game sabotages itself with myriad mechanical problems. I've enjoyed it, but it is a constant chore to play.
it was a really fun game back in 2022, Servers were nearly full & was just a overall great experience especially with friends. after that wipe and coming back to play it a little while later, the servers were dead and just wasn't much to do without the pvp, come back a few years later & nothing has changed.. no new updates & all the servers are still dead. Two years ago i would've recommended this game to anyone, Sadly it's just not worth playing anymore, its a shame to see a game i loved so much die so quickly.
/Just like smoking, I can do it, spend money on it and have fun, but I don't have to recommend it/ The game starts out great, but after a few hours, you realize the game is balanced for multiplayer, so server tweks are a MUST. Even if you set everything to your advantage, most of the resources you need to complete the game comes from events, which apparently stop appearing after completing all the quests? !WTF! I tried everything: resetting server settings, reducing the wait time, everything I could find online, but unfortunately, an 8-hour session and not a single event. !edit! It took me 18 hours of pointless wandering around the map before the game triggered the last event I needed to complete the game!
Even the game was abandoned a while ago, the game as-is is quite enjoyable. I easily get hooked into it. It is among the cheapest game in this genre while the game is such a joy to play. Totally worth it especially at the 90% discount which happens quite often. I already spent 38 hours in it and still have quite a lot to work on. I really want the dev. to continue update this game. This game can then be as great as any big indie games. EDIT: I really can't stop myself playing. Soon, I notice myself passing 100 hours. If we take the game as a finished product which it is, it's really worth it. There are tons of things to do. Lots of bosses to kill. The game loop is you hit into some enemies which are impossible to fight, then you go back to grind and progress through the tech tree to get new gear/armor to go back and beat that enemies. During this loop, we also have to advance our tech in order to build the final rocket to bring us out of this planet. I play solo and I had to admit that up to the near end game, the grinding time grow astronomical high very fast. When I go out to collect certain resources, I spent my precious high damage bullets. Then I have to go out to collect resources for these bullets I deplete another resources. After I explored 100% on the map, found all creatures (which passed 100 hours play time). I skip to the end game using admin console command to get all required resources. The cool tech in this game that I like are the night vision goggles, different types of mechs, drones. There are a lot of toys to experiment with. If I'm not cheating on getting resources at the end game, I belief I will need at least 50-100 hours just to collect all required resources. So, I belief at least you will be able to spend more than 200 hours on this game easily. If you like this kind of games, just buy it already, ok?
