A retro-inspired 2D Action RPG set in the distant future. CrossCode combines 16-bit SNES-style graphics with butter-smooth physics, a fast-paced combat system, and engaging puzzle mechanics, served with a gripping sci-fi story.

the puzzles are both hard and not hard at the same time, its just my dumbass cant time for ♥♥♥♥ combat's good you can either figure out how to stagger each enemy or just ooga booga throw balls at them until they drop dead, either one works story's also really good if you care about it, loads of plot twists 9.5/10, id spend 30 minutes on a puzzle and refuse to look it up out of honour
I dont understand all the praise to this game. may be the story is good? but plaing it is not fun. - 2 hours dialog before you can start playing - if you die you have to replay dialogs - involuntary movent when fighting which leands to constantly falling to the void - incredibly long puzzles... they are not hard... just long - very skill demanding... this one is not bad per se... it just doesnt fit the genre, if i wanted a high skill game i would go play something else, not an jrpg. if you are looking for a JRPG look somewhere else
my finger hurts
Great game, nice story. Also i like the dungeons, guess im in the minority with that.
Default proton did not work. Used GE 10-33 and it worked perfectly.
The peakest game to ever peak. Puzzles rival old Zelda games (infuriating, but so, SO rewarding), the combat is BUTTERY smooth, and equipment isn't discarded for JUST bigger number on the new thing, because there's always substats. Other stuff includes Big Shiny on screen when you do well in combat. The game teaches you the basics super well, makes you apply them constantly, and you eventually just Get Good. There's also assists and stuff you can have to make the game easier to suit your needs, which is great :) Also the music? Peak. Story? Peak. Characters? Peak. Only like, a few weak moments here and there that are vastly overshadowed by THE PEAK. Did I mention how smooth combat is again? There's like a million things that the game rewards you for. If you do it on your own, or use guides, that's all up to you so you can enjoy it, but in the end, EVERYTHING you are rewarded for is YOUR FAULT. Combat noises going crazy cause you're doing well? Your fault. Got a ton of loot? Your fault. Died? YOUR. FAULT. Got a really good experience? Your fault. Good story? Your fault for playing through, and enjoying it. Because this is an amazing story. I cannot glaze this enough. The flavors are already perfect. Please. Please play this game. It is SO underrated. Please please please. How much more glaze am I gonna have to put on this thing??? Honey garlic??? WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME
best game ive ever played
