Cross Set

As many other reviews have said, this game tends to devolve into little more than reading numbers to find the one row or column which has only one of a certain number. It kind of reminded me of how you can brute force a word search by going through each letter. Due to how often this is the case it seems that was the intended way to approach many of these 'puzzles' and it quickly gets dull and repetitive just scanning through the numbers. In my opinion the most fun levels were the ones which provided a few squares to begin with as they generally consisted of less word-search gameplay and becomes more similar to Sudoku. Unfortunately the last few levels of the largest 9X9 grids have nothing filled in at the start and thus began the tedium of finding the unique number in a row or column. Once you get pretty far into a level it can be sort of fun when you can search around to find which squares have been made solvable, but it doesn't make up for the boring searching you're subjected to most of the time. This all being said, it is only $0.99 so if it sounds interesting or relaxing to you it's not like it's a huge investment.

A simple but fun game if you like logic puzzles like Sudoku. Each box shows one or more numbers that can potentially go in that spot, with the largest leftmost number being the one currently selected. So, for example, if a box shows "7 1 5" then 7 is the current selection but you could also change that square to be a 1 or a 5. You can cycle through the numbers in the box with left click. Right click highlights the square in orange and "locks" the selection in. Selections do no have to be locked in to complete the puzzle and they can be unlocked by right clicking again. Once all columns and rows have no more than 1 of each number in them the puzzle is complete. There are 7 sections with 8 puzzles each and another section with 1 final puzzle. Completing those will unlock bonus puzzles that do not have achievements. One major drawback of the game is the inability to cross out numbers. For example, if the box shows "7 1 5" and you've determined that it definitely can't be a 1 you don't have any method of marking it off. You just have to remember that or recheck it every time. This can make the puzzles be slightly more frustrating and take much longer than they should. I'd recommend this game, but even at it's low price point it would probably be better to pick it up on sale. There's just not enough content for $3 and the lack of some method of "marking" the board besides the right-click highlighting make it not quite worth full price.
