Do not let the different art style of the sprites put you off. Once you get used to them, they become charming in their own way and are more than bearable. Now for the actual game. Mix of platformer and visual novel. The story is simple, you are trapped in an unknown place. The setting is dark and grim with very adult themes and little to no rest on intense dialogue and scenes. The gameplay is very dialogue heavy, but allows for exploration at your own pace, creeping around the old elementary, not really being sure what to expect around each turn. With the absolutely stunning soundtrack it will keep you on the edge of your seat the entire time. Almost all of the decision you make will make a difference, with many different outcomes to almost all of the scenarios you encounter. So if you favor a character, make your decisions carefully.
I can't recommend this game, as I hoped for more exploration, but game is 5-15 minutes long for each ending :/ GAME HAVE ONLY ONE CHAPTER AND DESCRIPTION NEVER MENTION IT. It doesn't feel complete. It feels like a demo made for good trailers and first-impression reviews. I kinda feel cheated. I know that the price is low, but the way game is presented is just smokes and mirrors.

Follow The Cpt Froggy Club Curator Page for plenty more!
Changeover Decisions is a mixture of a visual novel, action platformer and choice matters game from KBH Soft You awaken in a dark, damp hospital not knowing your name or how you got to be there. You hear someone screaming for help; do you know them, do they know you, do they have any answers to explain where you are and why you have no memory? This is where your story will start to unfold, by asking questions and searching for clues, which will help you to slowly remember who you were before, and maybe get you out of this place. You go to investigate the screams you heard and find someone with a nasty wound due to having a chair leg embedded in their own leg. From here your choices start, as you talk to this person and decide how you’re going to help them remove the chair leg. Will you try and help them on your own, or will you go and look for others to help you? These are the choices you’ll make, which will lead to one of twelve different endings for Chapter One (more chapters in the future). Around the place you’ll find items to aid you, like weapons, bandages, water and different medications. You’ll also be able to find books or notes which may help you along the way, so always be on the lookout and search everywhere. Knowing how to remove an object from someone, as well as which medication to give them while doing so, may just keep them alive. Be careful what medication you take when you become injured yourself, as the medicines can either help or hinder you; I tried some funny pills and they seemed to slow my movements down. Weapons can be anything from pieces of rotten wood, knives, or anything you can pick up and wield. Some weapons must be used with two hands, while for others, you can hold one in each hand. The combat is unusual, as rather than just clicking your mouse buttons to attack or block, you use mouse movements instead. The mouse buttons do change your stance to either block or attack and will allow you to swing over or under; you can also hold both at the same time. I did enjoy running about with 2 rotten sticks like I was guiding a plane in, or like I was at a rave again (glow sticks would have been great) or using them in a downward stabbing motion like in horror films. For Options, we have Language, Sounds, Master, Effects and Music volume controls. For Video there’s Resolution, Full Screen and Graphics Quality. You’re able to remap the keys, if, like me, you play with the arrow keys, which is always nice. The pixelated graphics, music and sounds are nice and give an eerie feeling to the place. There is a save manager to save your multiple endings, so you can carry on the story when the next chapters are available, but it doesn’t seem to save more than one game save and will overwrite any previous attempts. This might be in the list of things to do, or maybe I’m just doing something wrong! You can also find archives laying about, which you can check out on the Tutorial, Chapter and Archive page. Going to the archive will allow you to play through it, giving you some information about what’s been going on in this place. Positives + Good story dialog so far (couple of spelling mistakes) + Multiple endings + Achievements Negatives - Only one chapter so far but it has twelve endings - No manual saves and only one game save, so multiple uncovered endings are overwritten - Frustrating when having to restart from the beginning at times - No cards Search for clues and try to remember who you are and why you are here, in this choices matter, gloomy visual novel and action platformer game. 6/10 (More content needed) Key provided by developer/publisher for review purposes via THE CPT FROGGY CLUB!
Played 7.7 hours so far, I can already see a bright future for this game
This game provides 11 different memorable endings in the first chapter which keeps you questioning on the future on what is going to happen. This game has a very well made plot where the more you play, the more you will understand the story and the background of the characters itself. There are a lot of mystery involved, and difficult puzzles
Finding a way to save the guy by meds
(still cannot do it to this day) which will bring you back to solve it. The best part about this game i would say, are
the stairs
,you cannot get enough of them, They are just great. Can't wait for what KHB-Soft are going to bring us, but all i know is, it's going to be good. - Crowto 10/10
Time for my first review on steam... time to make it a good one. So to talk about this game, i should mention how i got it (unless you don't care, then you can just skip to the review).A good friend of mine, TheMildSide, is part of the map testing team for the KHB-soft game "Intralism"(i'd recommend it), which is a rhythm game. After a while they reached out to the community to grab people who wanted to work on a new game coming out this summer (I said I was interested, but didn't end up on the team). A few months later there was the announcement of "We have a new game and you guys can playtest it", so I immediately got a copy and started testing it with the rest of the community. Now that i've said that, we can get to my view of the game. What I like ++Pretty good dialogue ++Surprisingly good OST for a $3 game ++Somewhat active dev team (so far) ++Easter eggs ++Very replayable (it's kinda the point of the game) ++Kinda challenging (but then again i like to struggle in my games) ++Best implementation of stairs in any game to date. What I don't like (and why) --Combat - feels kinda clunk. Oftentimes i die and end up thinking "What the hell? I hit that thing." --Items - Though many of the items are fine, I've had to google quite a few of the more obscure medications they put into the game to make sure i don't kill myself on accident. --Style - This is more of a personal preference, but it kinda feels like the characters were stock from the engine and the backgrounds and item sprites just lack real definition. Things to note ~~the style of gameplay is a bit weird to me. It's dialogue-heavy enough to be (somewhat)easily turned into a visual novel, which isn't a bad thing, but it also makes it feel like the rest of the game could just be a minigame for the visual novel sometimes,
Like when you go grab the glowing bandage for what's his nuts and end up doing little except for killing a rat,
But maybe that's just me. Overall, before you buy the game (if you care about $3) ask yourself "What do i want from this?" If it's pure combat then don't buy it, but if you want a mix of good music, good dialogue, none of which I have found cringey (except maybe the tutorial), okay combat, and puzzle solving, then I would recommend this game (especially if you like replayability). EDIT: Spelling mistake
Changeover: Decisions is an unusual Russian hybrid of 2D stick fighter, 2D retro pixel platformer and craptastic visual novel/adventure game. It seems a lot of work went into copying + pasting Unity assets and filling out stuff using Unity's Corgi platformer engine (one of the many assets the developer used from Unity without bothering to credit the real creators) to result in such a garbage product, but on the upside this is only about 15 minutes long, and we all know less garbage is better than more garbage. It's a short edgy 2D retro pixel adventure with crappy writing, worse translation, flakey gameplay and terrible graphics. And bonus homophobic slurs from the developer right on the front page, which tells you all you need to know about the "developer" here. That kind of stuff really isn't acceptable. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. While there are options to change the resolution for the game, all this does is scale up the simplistic 2D art assets used to make the game, which makes little or no difference to the graphics quality. Without any other substantial graphics tweaks, it's not possible for gamers to improve the lacklustre 2D visuals. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The game contains stock/store assets and other packages (Corgi Engine, Playmaker, etc etc etc), but the "developer" here hasn't credited the people who actually did the work for the game. While this isn't necessarily against the license for the use of those assets, claiming the work of others as your own is highly unethical. Gamers should be made aware when a developer behaves unethically, as buying games from unethical developers puts the gamers money at risk. Changeover: Decisions is relatively cheap at $2 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend.
