Creepy Shift: Roadside Diner

Ultimately I don't think this game is worth the price (I got it for about £3 in a bundle) it's just too short and repetitive. You do very simple chores, and manage a small selection of horror threats. Keep doors closed, turn jukebox off when it turns on, place a candle by a painting when it teleports away, and hide from a ghost when it has a red aura. Each of these are gradually introduced during the 60-ish minute runtime. Stock shelves, clean tables/floors, but the chores are free of the usual satisfying feeling of finishing something because more constantly gets added, stuff you cleaned gets dirty again which I found a little annoying and didn't feel great when there's already a lot of chores to do. The story & scares don't really make up for this, but I do think the atmosphere is better than average for indie horror.

They do some very creative things with the camera and perspective. The sound and music are perfectly fine. However, and this will be a nitpick to many, but I didn't find the game to be scary. I think maybe 1 jumpscare startled me. It's a very polished game, but just like a Disney film it's rather predictable and driven by gimmicks, not genuine horror. Again, don't misunderstand, I'm not saying it's a "bad game", it just feels a bit too polished and focused on the gimmicks to actually be scary, but it's still fun. Ok, after sleeping on it I realize I'm being too nice, if it were fun I'd both to finish it, but I didn't cause I lost interest. 5/10 And if you like horror game playthroughs why not give us a chance? yeah, starts off a bit slow, but ramps up to being pretty solid. does get a bit stressful near the end. it's not just a do chores simulator, but yeah, that's a big chunk of it. they do eventually make you deal with spooky stuff in the middle of it.

I'm not new to games -- at all. I'm pretty clever and I've spent 7 hours on this game; total. I've died 8 times. It does not allow you to get past a certain part. I don't like this one. I prefer Uncle Joe's Motel. It was actually beatable and it followed its own rules, whereas this one seems to not follow its own rules. It just doesn't make sense to me that you cannot "hide" when that feature is made available to you and the items you need to find are impossible as they move to separate places and they made the map so big that it's near-impossible...actually, it IS impossible, to get to them in time. I wish I could give a better review. I actually really liked this game. I liked the others as well. This one is just -- IMPOSSIBLE.

buona atmosfera ed effetti grafici ma troppo corto, poco piu di 1 oretta, l idea di come è strutturato il gioco ci sta anche se è un po noioso (simulatore di pulizie per terra e ai tavoli e di trova e spegni il jukebox nascosto) ..mi aspetto dei miglioramenti nei sucessivi due episodi.

Отличный атмосферный хоррор с необычным сеттингом придорожной закусочной. Игра умело сочетает повседневную работу с постепенно нарастающим напряжением, постоянно удерживая интерес. Неплохой хоррор на часик. Пугалки не совсем страшные, но некоторые заставляют дёрнуться. Сюжет как по мне банальный.
