It's basically just unreal engine 5 repackaged with enough assets to make the trailers and promo images, theres basically nothing else to it. they had an update where they bragged about their font collection.. it's fonts. most software has font support.
Ive been looking for something like this for a while. Im a filmmaker and being able to build out sets and take pictures is awesome. Would love to see some more film maker geared stuff in the future, but right now it has enough to get started. It has just enough props, but could still use some more. If you shoot in any city this is very helpful since they have alot of city props/buildings. Would love to see more building props in the future.
I rarely, if ever make reviews on this app but i'll make an exception for this product. For as long as I've been using Source filmmaker, blender, and other programs that allow the creation of 3d scenebuilding. I've often wished there was a more easier to access version of these programs. One that would be much easier to approach for hobbyists, amateur artists, or actual professional artists who wish to use reference but don't have the luxury to learn blender and other more complex 3d programs. Thankfully, this app is like a wish fulfillment of what i've been begging for a while now. It's extremely easy to use and to get into and requires little to no experience. Allowing you to develop scenebuilds and 3d art pieces rather quickly and without much of a hassle. Though i will admit it's rather barebones atm in terms of features, though it has an immense amount of room for improvement and thankfully the Dev seems very passionate in adding new features and developing workshop support for people to import their own models into the program. As a concept artist, i can see myself using this program for god knows how many hours on end in developing scenes and references to use for painting and developing concepts.
Crashes alot and only lets you use it for personal use. meaning you cannot create games with it. also has like 2 male models and you can't import your own. The whole game uses free models i'm pretty sure and it's only making money because it's built on a high-fidelity engine. Not worth 10 dollars. The only thing they made for the game is the code and it crashes all the time anyway.
Some very basic functions are missing. Why is there no "undo" option? There's no way to make the camera move based on keyframes? I couldn't find a way to "paint" foliage--is this even possible? There's no way to "paint" a walkway or a dirt road? There's no way to sculpt the landscape? I can't even run around in the world I built with a player character--disappointing. I feel like this game is very incomplete.
I bought it knowing exactly what it is. It is NOT a game, it's a tool. Let's get that right out of the way. I use it primarily to setup scenes for my paintings as I am a professional concept artist & illustrator. HOWEVER, the reason it gets the thumbs down is because it's lazily put together and it's as many have said, an unreal engine editor ripoff without any of the tools that come free with the editor. I think the creator is lazy and wanted to make a quick buck so he did, but at the end of the day this is tailored mainly to people who want to make sets consisting of standard real life semi-modern or medieval settings. All he has to do is enable the workshop/mods and people like me will be more than happy to take care of building the sim properly, for him. eg: adding scifi walls, buildings, space ships, motorcycles, more foliage, etc. This is a good idea done poorly. it could have been a good idea done amazingly but the clear laziness is a major factor in the lack of success of this program. Is it helpful? Yes Does it have anything I actually would find useful to my personal field of art? not really no. I will say if anyone else is a creator of a repack of unreal/epic assets and wants it to be honestly reviewed by an industry artist, hit me up with your software and I'll gladly do so. I find that as an artist tools like this create a fantastic advantage and help save time immensely. I'd be willing to change my review of this product at a later date however it seems clear that this is abandonware as the last "update" [which was a 1000% worthless FONT update] was in 2022. frankly if you're going to repack epic/unreal assets you could and should at least include the full catalog. there are tons of resources for my field of art in the epic store. I was just hoping this quick and dirty program would be helpful in that aspect. sadly, not.
I hardly write reviews as i am usually buying older games, but i had to buy this one. It is a great sandbox, photo sim. If this is early release, then i am stoked about whats in store! I would love to have obj or fbx import for characters and objects. (Would help the devs not to have to come up with so many assets) The assets in game are great and it's pretty straight forward. Great job guys!
I was really enjoying it when I purchased it in September but haven't played again since the November update. When I turned it on to play today, everything was updated to "Epic" visual graphics so I could barely move around to fix anything. After that was fixed, I went to click on the tabs to go between object categories and they are completely locked; the program will not allow toggling at all and clicks on the tabs like it is working, but will not actually change so I am stuck on only being able to select broken, wooden planks and nothing else.
If you have any interest at all in the Unreal Engine 5, but the learning curve for figuring out that complex program is too much, this game is a fun way to easily build worlds with the same level of realistic graphics.
once it gets steam workshop and custom model support itll be amazing, but right now you cant build a very diverse range of stuff
