About
"Thick fog crept slowly across the marshes along Highway 285 in New Mexico, occasionally revealing the strangely orange reflection of the moon."
Washing dishes, cleaning, and carrying boxes to the basement. None of it seems to be a difficult task. Of course, solitary work at night isn't for everyone, but what could go wrong?
"The jukebox fell silent, and I shivered. I realized that the music was masking the strange scratching coming from the basement."
Take a shift in the night of the bloody moon and find out what it means to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Follow the mysterious rules to survive until dawn and feel the breath of lurking evil on your own skin.

Good for it's price. Fun little game; not really something I'd play through a second time. A few nitpicks: 1) Sometimes the prompt says "E" when it's actually Mouse 1. 2) The power goes out and it didn't seem to come back on for me when hitting the breaker. Can not tell if this was intended with the power outage being a one-time thing or it was suppose to be another thing for me to manage. 3) Needs a few more hiding spots from the ghost lady in red light. She'd sometimes appear at times where there is no way you can get back to the locker in time. If there are other places they need to be better shown. 4) This one is more subjective: I think the fun of the game is more in the attempt to clean the diner whilst managing the various horror aspects/rituals. When that turned into rather a more linear story and ending I felt a little dissapointed. A day system, or an endless mode would be great. 5) To that the anomaly ramp is steep. Way too much starts happening too soon in my opinion, especially with being stuck in a locker so often whilst also sometimes having to hunt for the jukebox outside. I got a D grade at the end and this might be a case of "get gud" but I have no idea how anyone could get anything done cleaning-wise with the amount of ghost-♥♥♥♥ you have to deal with.
Creepy Shift: Roadside Diner is the first in a series of, at the moment, three short horror games that combine mundane tasks with a horror story. In Roadside Diner, your job is to clean up the diner, store the deliveries, and try not to be murdered by evil forces.
Gameplay
Roadside Diner plays like a normal life sim. You get a mob and a sponge to clean floors and tables, you carry tablets with dirty dishes and fill the dishwasher, you refill shelves, and put deliveries into storage. In addition, though, you have to follow a set of rules, and you had better be quick about it.
Conclusion
Roadside Diner tells a simple but compelling little horror story. I found the combination of life sim and horror elements very enjoyable. Doing the tasks is immersive, and that makes the creepy elements more effective. Of the three games of the Creepy Shift series, I found this one the weakest, but only because they perfected their recipe with the two later games.
I’m so glad the 2nd game from my introduction to the series because this one pretty bad I’m grateful they learnt and improved literally everything compared to this one, roadsides only saving grace is the basement section being pretty good other then that I genuinely only recommend this game so that we can get more in the series like the 2nd game
The game runs well enough. I bought this after playing Uncle Joe's Hotel. This one has bugs sadly that if you get stuck the only thing you can do is quit and let it take you back to a check point. Then you get stuck with all the terrors that were happening before you finished those chapters. This makes the game quite hard to finish without rage quitting and guess what back to that check point. If you can get it all done in one run its probably ok but if you don't well, quite now before the frustration becomes rage.
Again with this one; the negative reviews threw me off at first but curiosity won. I had fun playing this game. This one was creepy from beginning to end and at times it was difficult doing the chores. It was a bit short but since it was the first of its kind it makes sense to me. A prototype. I recommend this game.
Finished the game and it is quite fun and simple. Scary enough, but not too much. Still too scary to play at night tho. My friends enjoyed watching me play as well.

Ultimately I don't think this game is worth the price (I got it for about £3 in a bundle) it's just too short and repetitive. You do very simple chores, and manage a small selection of horror threats. Keep doors closed, turn jukebox off when it turns on, place a candle by a painting when it teleports away, and hide from a ghost when it has a red aura. Each of these are gradually introduced during the 60-ish minute runtime. Stock shelves, clean tables/floors, but the chores are free of the usual satisfying feeling of finishing something because more constantly gets added, stuff you cleaned gets dirty again which I found a little annoying and didn't feel great when there's already a lot of chores to do. The story & scares don't really make up for this, but I do think the atmosphere is better than average for indie horror.
