Mow down the brainwashed trick-or-treaters and save the holiday. The gameplay can be defined as arena shooter. Each stage is a small area filled with enemies and environmental obstacles. While the environments change as you move through four locations, the main mechanic remains the same from beginning to end. All you have to do is defeat all of the enemies in the room to remove the barrier and progress through enough rooms to attain your goal. Although you can sometimes choose between two paths, it does not matter because each room leads you closer to your goal. Each location (street, cemetery, suburbs, and carnival) has a distinct goal, but the procedure is always same. When you have completed the mission, you will proceed to the next area. Aside from movement and shooting, your character can only jump back to swiftly dodge a bullet, or perform a special skill that uses energy. Instead of acquiring new weapons, the game offers a unique feature in which you receive a new weapon each time you expend all of the bullets for the current weapon. This might be a bowling ball, a firecracker, or something bad, such as a fireworks rocket with a short range and the potential to harm you. By the way, many weapons cause damage when used too close. Halloween mainstays include vampires, zombies, magicians, and other surprises. The same types appear throughout the game, however each location introduces a few new ones. Enemies are difficult to spot due to the bright backgrounds and no visual cues for incoming danger, but most do not cause much issue as long as you keep moving. Aside from experience points, which gradually increase your level, enemies might drop temporary armor. Once acquired, armor is strapped to your feet, hands, or belt. There is no management because it occupies the first empty slot, but its durability decreases with each new room. However, the most essential drops from enemies are unlock icons and money. Both are vital for meta-progression and getting further as you play. Unlock points are divided into three types: store, ammo, and costume. You will need to gather quite a few icons to unlock things, however this can be done over all runs rather than just one. Collected upgrade points do not disappear upon death so you can always make some progress. The other perk is money that can be used before each run to boost your odds. Money, like upgrade points, is yours to keep even after death. It allows you to purchase new ammo or costumes, each with its own set of benefits and skills. Unfortunately, a costume is only good for one run. While this feels like a waste of money, especially when you can find items in trashcans and destructible objects. there is no purpose in saving money because you can only carry 99 dollars in your pockets. Another thing you get as a reward is increase to your stats (which also comes with each level-up). They are split into four categories: damage, critical, speed, and luck.

It's like a low-rent Death Road to Canada (which is an awesome game), but it's hobbled by poor controls.
Noooooooooooo!!
