Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Sep 1 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
Warning: Asset Flip!
Crazy Scientist is an asset flip, what Valve calls a "fake game". The "developer", Vyacheslav Shilikhin/Droid Riot, took a template from the craptastic Construct 2 game construction kit, slapped a couple of asset flipped sprites on it, and dumped the results onto Steam as a cash grab scam. Don't believe me? Here's some other asset flips from exactly the same template, all shamelessly dumped on Steam as nasty cash grabs:

"1000 Needles", copy + pasted from the same template by LTZInc
"Battle Cube", copy + pasted from the same template by LTZInc
"Caveman Alive", copy + pasted from the same template by Vyacheslav Shilikhin
"Eared Hero", copy + pasted from the same template by Vyacheslav Shilikhin
"Forest Guardian", copy + pasted from the same template by OnBlind
"Goat Life", copy + pasted from the same template by Vyacheslav Shilikhin
"Happy Halloween", copy + pasted from the same template by HandMade Games
"Lucky Panda", copy + pasted from the same template by OnBlind
"Mountain Troll", copy + pasted from the same template by IndieLip
"Piggy Poggy Pog", copy + pasted from the same template by TSS Studio
"Queen of Honor", copy + pasted from the same template by Big Black Bear
"Trick or Treat", copy + pasted from the same template by HandMade Games
"Underwater World", copy + pasted from the same template by HandMade Games
"Unstoppable Hamster", copy + pasted from the same template by IndieLip
"Virus ON", copy + pasted from the same template by NL Studio
"Wild Adventures", copy + pasted from the same template by LTZInc
Look for yourself... these are all exactly the same game! Vyacheslav Shilikhin/Droid Riot have a known history of trying to scam people into paying them money for someone else's work. An example of Vyacheslav Shilikhin/Droid Riot doing this is Fox and Bunny, which is really "Sunny Land", written by the actual developers, Ansimuz. Also, Primitive Shooter, which is really "Create a Game Source code", developed by Sebastian Lague. The products that result from asset flips aren't "real" games. They lack depth and content, because they're just simplistic copies of demos or tutorials. In this case, "Crazy Scientist" is just a very old, very basic Construct 2 template for a simple, badly made platformer that's been reskinned lazily, and doesn't have any merit as a proper, fully fledged PC game, so a copy+paste of it can't be recommended. Asset flips don't involve any professional game development. Sure, sometimes they may change a few cosmetic things, swap out different assets etc, but at heart it's functionally identical to the asset they're ripping off. Asset flips are an insult to both PC gamers and to professional game developers who create genuine, high quality PC games. Asset flips like this are harmful to the gaming industry and to Steam because they reduce the visibility that sincerely made indie games should have. They make it harder for gamers to find genuine games made by honest developers. To cement the position of this asset flip as nothing but a cash grab, it was dumped onto cheap DailyIndieGame shovelware bundles very shortly after launch. Don't reward this morally bankrupt, unethical behaviour from Vyacheslav Shilikhin/Droid Riot.
Warning: Review Manipulation!
This game features a number of fake positive reviews from accounts known to be in the business of review manipulation/paid reviews. They're all written in either Russian or broken English, appear almost immediately after the game launched on Steam, all have a direct Steam purchase of the game, and the accounts are used consistently to write fake reviews for asset flips and other cash grabs/scams. The "Positive" review score on this game should be disregarded due to this review manipulation.

Worth
A fun platformer game, though it can be a bit tricky at times. The platforms are small, which makes button lag frustrating as it can cause you to fall back to the start. Mushrooms seem to steal lives, and there's a root that looks like it should be jumpable, but it’s just too far to reach. Despite these challenges, they add a unique twist to the game, setting it apart from other platformers—after all, the basic concept hasn’t changed much since the Mario days. That said, the game is well-designed overall. The characters are humorous, the level design is challenging, and the backgrounds are creatively drawn. It’s pretty affordable, so if you're a fan of platformers, why not give it a try?
