Crazy Plant Shop

Such a cute little game. You own a plant shop and you need to satisfy your customers and their varied desires, simple as that. But buying flowers to sell them isn't the right way to earn money, so you have to breed them in your own breeding machine. In a simple but charming way you learn the basics of plant genetics and how dominant and recessive genes work. After that you have to carefully manage your orders as your daily energy for breeding is quite limited. There are also upgrades you can buy for your shop, but be careful with your money as you daily need at least 10 coins for your rent. With the right plants you can even join national flower competition! Your shop is visited by different casts of customers with their own short stories. They are very nicely written and often bring a smile on your face. Every one of them is also voiced and although you can tell it is rather an indie voice acting, it's fitting and pleasant. Graphic design is very soft, calm and suits the game nicely. Plants are nicely varied, their species are very cute and funny. Would love to have some of the [i]Catcuses[/i] or [i]Bunnyons[/i] at my home! Music is quiet and corresponds with the old feeling of the early 20th century. You can complete the game rather quickly - two runs under 7 hours. All of the achievements are easily obtainable. [i]Crazy Plant Shop[/i] is probably targeted at a younger audience as an educational game, but I have found it very enjoyable even in my not targeted age.

Overall I think this game is short. You get 13 game days to unlock every plant in the book and unlock every upgrade or you loose. I would have like it to be a little more story driven so you could get to know the shop owner you play. The other characters in the game are nicely made with little stories with their orders it could just use a little more. Beat the game when I thought I was just going to get another challenge. I was suprised to see that the game was over and then you just restart.

The aesthetics are beautiful and the music is fun. The gameplay is simple, but still challenging for me (an adult who already knows how Punnet squares work). I think this is an incredibly charming game, great for kids. It's also a lovely low-key game for adults.

What? Confusing, overly complicated for what reason? They waste the first day out of 13 to explain you things that could have all been done pre-day 1. I had a plant I put down on the table for an order then a pop-up interrupted me and my plant was gone.

This is definitely a mobile game, and actually, nowadays, there are a lot of games that pull this mechanic far better (like Moonlighter, Potion Alchemist Simulator, or Strange Horticulture). It is cute, but not worth recommending it.

Отличная, оригинальная и интересная игра с элементами урока биологии. [spoiler] Не зря ведь наш арендодатель носит фамилию Мендель. [/spoiler] С удовольствием прошла её три раза с перерывом в пару лет. У каждого растения есть разное количество аллелей генов, в зависимости от сочетания доминантных и рецессивных они выглядят по-разному. Скрещиваем растения и выполняем заказы клиентов. Всё прохождение занимает часов 5-6. Легкие ачивки.

very short game, finished in less than 2 days. not sure if there is more but i dont think so. love that the days didnt have a timer
