About
CounterAttack: Uprising is a Scrolling Space Shooter (SHMUP / STG) with deep customization, local 4 player CO-OP, and cross-platform online CO-OP for up to 8 players. Blast across 32 levels on the branching campaign, see how long you can last on the endless survival modes, or create custom levels and campaigns with the built-in editors and play them solo or in local and online CO-OP.
Earth is under attack! The Automations, humanity's own creation, have rebelled. They will stop at nothing short of the complete annihilation of their former masters. There is but one hope, the Experimental Space Fighter program. Fight solo or team up for intense co-op action, 1 - 4 player locally or 2 - 8 players online, unlock upgrades, use powerful ultimate abilities, enhance your ship the way you want, and save the Earth from annihilation.
All levels, modes, leaderboards, and difficulties are available in CO-OP. Use support attachments to work together, or set powerups on free-for-all and grab them before anybody else does. Use Auras and support attachments to help your friends, or focus only on damage and blast a way through. If you die you become a turret on a surviving ship to continue blasting.
Create New Weapons to Destroy the Automatons
600+ attachments including engine turbos, Support Fighters, Auras, Weapon Replacements, Attack Drones, Weapon Modifiers, Shields, Evasion, Critical Hit Change, and more! Weapons can be combined to create new and unique abilities. Millions of combinations with some powerful (and sometimes wacky) effects! Go all followers and turrets, or buildup weapons that pack a deadly punch. Show off your creations on the workshop, or try one created by somebody else!
Each pilot has a unique ship, ultimate weapon, and innate ability. Ayumi has the ultimate Tactical Nuke and Analysis ability, Biff as the ultimate Big Biff Laser and Big Boy ability, Marcus has the ultimate Mesonwave and Meson Blades ability, Joe has the ultimate Overcharge and Action Joe ability, Sarah has the Quantium Shield and Survivor ability, Sloane has the Fighter Squadron and a Sloane Aura ability, Carl has the ultimate Plasma Strike and Rocker ability, Jinx has the ultimate Hack Wave and Autorekt ability.

31 bosses (32 if you count the sun). Branching campaign with secret wormhole paths, 4 difficulties from Easy to Very Hard, 3 modes, catering from novices to veterans. Easy to pickup, hard to master.
3 Endless Survival stages including a Horizontal Flood, Vertical Flood, and a procedurally generated wave survival!
Check out the Workshop for the latest player-made campaigns and levels, or create your own using the built-in editors. All custom levels and campaigns are fully playable in local and online co-op, with the same modes and difficulty options as the base game.
Custom levels unlock attachments so you aren’t forced to grind the base campaign to experiment with builds (unlock rates are lower on custom content).
With multiple paths, difficulties, and modes, there's a sweetspot for everyone! The branching campaign has levels of very different intensity, the game modes offer everything from casual save-as-you-go to brutal hardcore with 0 extra lives. The easy/medium/hard/very hard difficulty increases the number of enemies, their firer rate, and strength. Great for novices and experts alike!

Simple, but fun! Reminds me when video games were more like this decades ago.
nice shoot em up. nice upgrade system. regular updates. good amount of hours
So much fun. Extremely precise controls, great upgrade system, lots of ship customization and build variety. Music is quite entertaining as well and all sounds are snappy and satisfying. It's fantastic to mow down hordes upon hordes of ant robot things very quickly. Enemies move in interesting paths sometimes making little whirlwinds or snakey conga-lines of bots. It ends up becoming extremely addictive, with both its campaign and survival modes, with unique maps and some neat gimmicks and bosses that make them all special. Food survival is particularly engaging. Due to all of that I can definitely excuse the super goofy character art and lack of warnings on certain things such as enemies coming from offscreen on either top, bottom or left. Nowhere is sacred, nowhere is safe.
Either this game is super hard or i just really suck. The customization is fantastic. plus multiplayer
One of the better / more complex games of its genre Pre game start you can your ship and customize your ship with modules which you have to unlock Thats some kind of replayability, but also means alot of grind (and if you look at those achievments) And a lot of menu "grinding" to look at all those modules and to decide which combination could be awesome. There are a looooooooot of modules In game you can choose which weapon type to upgrade. That leads to A you can use what you like or B you have to choose what fits the level Overall you can have some fun especialy with local coop for a fair price
Beat the game in the time shown above. There really isn't enough content here to justify charging money for this. The art is mid & the characters are rather dull looking with no sex appeal.
the game is fine, but it commits huge shmup sins: firing enemy bullets off screen at you, insanely narrow passages, ground collisions. There such glaring flaws. I would like to have a weapon preview screen-in-screen available, too. overall, i am having a decent time.
gradius but insane
Solid shooter with confusing weapons upgrade selection screen. Overall good, but a little repetitive.
