Star Trek™ : 25th Anniversary

An old classic game based on one of the most iconic shows of all time. Voice performances by all the principal actors, most of whom aren't with us anymore, make this game a sentimental treasure. The missions feel like episodes of the original show. Multiple possible solutions to the game's puzzles, with both good and bad outcomes, make for a lot more replay value than you would expect from the old point-and-click genre. Find a way to score 100% on all missions, or do a blooper run to finish a campaign with the lowest possible score. And if all that isn't enough, the game makes use of a three-dimensional space combat system that still holds up well today. The battles are often criticized for being too difficult, and the DOS era graphics are very dated, but this game is high-quality entertainment for fans and non-fans alike.

I love Star Trek, but the interface is so bad it feels insulting.

A fun adventure game with a steep learning curve on the controls. Where it really shines is the ship-to-ship combat -- but you have to be really-good to make that feel legit! The entire TOS bridge crew reprise their roles, and serve up 8 standalone adventures in sequential order. It's an interactive 4th season for the show in digital form, and was more sleekly built on in the follow-up serialized game/season of 'Judgement Rites'. Battle enemies old & new -- while encountering familiar friends & foes, alike. See Kirk face off against enemies from his past, again...but first, or whatever.

This interface is atrocious.

Such a classic! I love playing all the new games and stuff but kicking it back to this game really hit me in my feels! If you're a Trekkie and a gamer I highly suggest giving this a try! For a history lesson in how far we've come in sci-fi gaming, if nothing else.

All I can say is, they don't make em like the used ta! Excellent adventure game from a considerably different era. You HAVE to read the manual which is uploaded on steam. In it is the star chart for destinations (early denuvo) and all the keyboard shortcuts for space combat, without which you will struggle (hit the console button next to number 1 for full reverse and pump torpedoes away). Scan, look, talk to, everything and everyone. Access the ships computer and learn, often needed to progress. Excellent voice acting from the original cast, this is a much deeper game than people think. Buy Judgement Rites after for an even better experience. 9/10
