I HATE how much fun I'm actually having with this game. CS 1.6 and any other version of counter strike is miles better than the absolute horrid disgusting garbage that is CS2. I don't know WHY anyone in their right mind would ever touch CS2.. CS 1.6 is all about skill and looks, Fun fact I was actually never a counter strike kid. I never liked counter strike because it was multiplayer and too confusing, However this? This game makes me grow on it. It actually feels fun, the guns are so much more satisfying and ugh man I love it.
Initially I bought this game as part of Valve's stupid half life anthology pack or whatever it was called,
I looked at my options
Half-life (Worth it)
opposing force (Worth it)
Blue shift (ehh idk)
Counter strike 1.6 (back then I thought it was the worst but It's amazing)
and tf2 classic (idk might try)
CS 1.6 is the one game I said to myself 'eh i mean its alright i guess it looks boring'
I played it once with bots and humans, dude for the first time in my entire life. Out of EVERYONE on this planet, I decided to play this. and I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ LOVED IT.
is it for everyone? not really
should you buy it? On sale yes, its actually a really fun game even with bots and I use it to train my aim and reflexes and game sense
actually the half life anthology pack is the most worth it, you get amazing games for 4$ its worth it.
okay enough babbling time to go over the actual review
CS 1.6 while not bad still lacks in some stuff then and there, for one its a old game and on boot up you do NOT have any CPU/Bot Players. The Bot players in this game are tough as hell to play against on expert (no smoke grenade too)
Due to it being a old game, many things arise such as downloading mods, installing server content when trying to join a server, and its confusing maps
It might get boring for u fast if u dont like the same round system with shooting and defusing and planting, i recommend playing one side 5 times and the other 5 times to get a feel of them both
buy on sale if u want, its prob the better option
