this game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The game is really fun, especially after a few levels when you get used to the controls and how the player can move around the map. I finished the cave stage and am now on the ice stages. really enjoying the game so far, i hope the music changes up throughout the different stages though, that would help keep it feeling fresh as you play through. also, though controllers are supported, its wayy harder to use a controller, since to aim you have to use right stick but to shoot i had o use the X button so i couldn't aim and shoot at the same time. but using key board and mouse felt pretty good.
Fun platformer run and gun game. Short, but enjoyable. The only thing I would change, though, is more customizable controls. The aiming is much easier on mouse and keyboard, but I ended up playing on controller because I prefer not using the space bar to jump.
Super Tight Speedrun Platformer/Shooter Hybrid
This game really gets interesting if you go for the speedrun medals. If you don't wanna speedrun, this game probably gets old quickly because there is no story and every level requires you to go up a bit, kill all enemies and that's it. However if you wanna play this how it's intended then you'll have a blast finding out the fastest routes and performing them. Almost every level can be completed in under 8 seconds. I'm currently #1 of this game's overall levels leaderboard and I can say it is extremely fast-paced and really hard to get the best times and champion medals. Especially the levels with the
grapple hook
made me scratch my head cause I didn't know how to do it. It was really fun to find out how to speed up my route. Game mechanics which make this game easy to learn, but hard to master: - You can run up walls with high speed - Downwards shooting gets you upward speed boost - You gotta eliminate every enemy of a level and aiming to shoot while platforming ferociously gets really intense - Accelerated movement and momentum carrying - The
grapple hook
Totally recommended for speedrunners, cause finding and performing the best route is interesting! Casual players should stay away, though, cause with this playstyle it gets old quickly.
*I received this game early into its development as part of the playtesting program* Positives:

Tight, responsive and simple controls
Fast, exciting levels across five different worlds, each with its own enemies, mechanics and music (more on that one later)
Cool retro/arcade game graphics and feel [Great speedrunning potential - if you're a more capable player than I am...
Negatives:

Music is quite repetitive, with the track only lasting a few seconds before looping. Additionally, the basic melody is the same throughout all the worlds, despite different instruments giving the track a different feel.
Whilst controllers are supported, this is limited by menus only being navigable with a mouse so you will need a rodent to hand even if not a keyboard. I would imagine full controller support is coming soon though.
[b ]Final verdict: Cosmos is a fantastically fast and intense platformer with sharp controls and great retro looks, let down slightly by half-baked controller support and average music. However, as a KB&M player I consider these fairly minor flaws which should absolutely not put you off buying this game.
Final Score: 9/10
This is a really great game. The controls are buttery smooth, the gameplay is really nice, I'm thinking of playing this on my youtube channel.
Fast&Fluid. Very well optimized. Levels are not repetitive and none of them feels too long. This is great game for skill learning, not mindless grind.
I first saw this advertised in a random tweet and thought the game looked cool. I then saw the price and thought it looked even cooler. Three Pounds whatever for this is a bargain. In fact I think double that would be a fair price. I've only put 90 mins into it so far but the levels are short enough to get plenty of practice in a short space of time...and it's HARD. Not hard to pick up and play. That's moderately simple, but to master this game, that will take time and effort. There's a lot to do with your fingers, you see. Jump, walk, climb, dodge and shoot. Often all at the same time. When I did pill it off though I was doing that head bobbing, chest puffing, looking around the room 'I'm the man' kinda' thing....Just a shame there are no windows in momma's basement... Anyway, It's a good game. My six year old managed to finish a couple of levels, though to be honest the way these kids are these days he'll probably be putting me to shame on it soon. Dev seems to be active, too. Seriously though, it's 3 quid. Just get it. It's the only way you'll be able to recreate my man strut...
Fairly fun platformer. One of those short but sweet kinda games. It took a bit to grow on me but once it did I was having fun. The hookshot does not work though I don't get it at all? Luckily it's a small section but it just feels like trying to fight the controls on those levels. There is some interesting flow to this game that ultimately makes me enjoy the game enough. It's a fun hourish of gameplay and fairly cheap.
