Es herrscht also Absturzgefahr!
Effectively a tech-demo for swing physics. While nice the game is heavily lacking in what are now basic assumed features, like the ability to pivot in place over physically spinning your body. The ability to walk with your controller. Etc.
Worked with an unlocked oculus quest2. Gave me nausea and yet was fun. You will bang into things unless your VR area is pretty large. I will try again when I make a bit more room. I got this in a bundle or pick 'n mix and was worth the $1 - $2 USD I spent on it 6/10

Slinger VR is a 3D "swinging" platformer-like game designed for VR. You can fling out "webs" (Marvel gonna sue! Kidding, this is differentiated enough from Spider-Man that it's clear it's an original property) and swing on them in an ethereal outer-space backdrop. One important note is that even though this is an amateur project, it does seem to be sincerely and genuinely made. I couldn't find any flipped assets, plagiarism or any other kind of insincere actions from the developer, but unfortunately genuine intentions alone are not enough to produce a brilliant PC gaming experience. The game lacks polish and won't work on many VR headsets due to limitations around controller configuration. And because the game is just here to show off that VR is a thing, that really limits the audience and the broad appeal any game needs to have to truly succeed. The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the mid 2000s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with. This seems to have been made a VR exclusive to prevent any comparison with non-VR 3D games, a comparison that this game would fail very badly at. Developers must learn that while VR is great, if the only thing that makes the game great is the VR, then the game isn't great at all. Ultimately the game is very simplistic, small and limited in scope and ambition. It's a one-trick pony that relies on demoing VR features rather than any substance embedded in the game itself. This feels more like a tech demo, proof of concept or student homework assignment rather than a fully fledged product designed for PC gamers. As such it doesn't offer much real value as a serious PC game. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 10 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 100,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 100,000+ games on Steam? Slinger VR has the pathetically optimistic price of $15 USD, for which you could easily get any number of older AAA games. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend. For comparison, the $15 asking price for this game could get you games like "Remnant: From The Ashes", "Cuphead" or "SCUM". Quality, professionally made games like those are frequently on sale cheaper than this.
Profile Features Limited! Valve have marked this game as "Profile Features Limited" at the time of this review. This is usually caused by poor sales figures and low community acceptance for the game (to date). Until this status changes, this game will not give you +1 to your Game Collector badge count, appear in profile achievements or any other Steam meta-accomplishments, nor can it be displayed in some profile showcases. If these factors are important to you, it may be worth holding off before buying this game.
Game description key-points: This Gamash, just doesn`t feel right or the content completed as expected! Overview: an annoying and horrible frustration from trying to enjoy this content. wobbly controls and not a smooth swing to avoid obstacles, all efforts ending in "kissing" or smashing the walls with grief to get out and away from them :D ALT+F4 my saviour ^.^
Incredibly fun game with nice feel of speed, multiple mechanics to add to your entertainment (and sometimes difficulty). Though longer sessions an make you dizzy (depends on your motion sicknes tolerance) its definitelly fun to play in short bursts - as levels arent that long.
