I kind of knew I was getting into a world of jank but nothing prepares you for just how janky this game really is. There are a few negative reviews that list in detail just how bad it is but say "early access" in their review. I am playing this after it's release and from the early access videos to what I played, well it's not much different. Feels like they just slapped 'done' on the label and launched it. I don't feel any heart of passion behind this title of someone who said "they saw a lack of Sci-Fi looter" game. Guns are marginally varied, drones are both useful but also can get stuck in AI loops that cause them to out right be useless, loot makes you either insanely over powered or "just right" which is to say it takes around 10-12 shots to kill an enemy, and lastly bosses are so laughably boring and unimaginative. I won't get into spoilers but just be prepared for the so much jank you are kind of just forced to sit there and take it. Glad I beat the game because I never want to look back at this title ever again...
I want to give credits to the developer! Bringing such a well elaborated project solo is truly a great undertaking. I personally appreciate the level design and the process as a whole. It's simple, but "simple is a genius" level simple, one could easily spend hours and hours in the game. Would definitely like to see more games from Mr. Fisher!
A weird, semi-simple, and addictive explore'search'n'destroy looter-FPS with RPG lite elements. You explore 'rooms' in a strange, alien world. The said 'rooms' are ca. 100x100 meters places in which you shoot various enemies and occasional bosses, search for chests and hidden loot, you open doors (never enough access cards, hahaha), and solve little puzzles here and there. Once you finish a said 'room', you proceed to another one and rinse and repeat. There are probably some more elements to the game that I haven't noted. All in all, I join others in saying, "An impressive feat for one-man developer's show."
A solid looter shooter experience without a lot of frustrations involved in difficult games. Sometimes the RNG is not on your side but one death/respawn usually fixes this. You aren't punished outright for playing the game, and there's multiple modes to pick from depending on if you want a roguelike or not.
The best 10 hours in a game I've had in a very very very long time. It doesn't outstay it's welcome and it's enjoyable the whole way through. If I had to make one critique, I'd say the bosses are some pretty hardcore bullet sponges. I played on the hardest difficulty though, so maybe they're a little more balanced on the other difficulties. Overall though, I wouldn't subtract that from the game at all, it offers way too much great content for a few boss fights being frustrating. Insane for ONE PERSON to make a game this great, I can't believe it. Thank you so much for making this game, hope to see more stuff from you in the future!
Pretty fun actually, and better than a lot of games that came out this year.
The temple level is perfection.
To the Developer of this wonderful wonderful Gift i have to tell you did good Unforunatly something in the industry has happened and this game has highlighted it big time so bare with me on this review you're game is a classic and if it was realeased in the 90s it would have turned into a major Triple AAA series by now with about 20 spin offs End of review ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ok let's get to the heart of the matter you know what I can't believe this. How many video games that are shooters even twin stick shooters that don't get this simple game play dynamic right no i can't believe what i'm seeing here Give me a character that looks cool with atmospheric setup and make me look like a badass is that too hard no you have to make me work for my looks you have to have extra dlc with stupid costumes and some quirk to all of them that makes them unique a feather here and a dash of pink here no no this one we drew a hawk and then went from there and it evolved into a messianic figure symbolising woah woah woah i want to look cool look when i want to look cool i go to walmarts buy a black jacker white shirt and blue jeans maybe brown shoes see it's not hard the guy in this game He's a cyrborg who looks like a take on the predator but not really He jumps like the predator and can even shoot an auto matic rifle like han solo he runs with his gun in one hand i don't care if that isn't army issued it looks bad ass oh and about his run it looks beefy and like a real hunter with his overall setup wow you sure feel like you were in the movie the predator did i mention he can teleport as many times as he wants cool right and the particle effects are slick you get in and go pew pew you are litterally standing there going look at that look at my damn pew pew cool right yeah that's right this game leaves you feeling yeah i am the worlds greatest bad ass the combat is quick and well done the difficulty is what you make of it you get tougher as you go on and get better it's really something if i remember correctly all games used to be like this but here's what i can't understand with your 500million dollar budgets and 1000 thousand staff you can't even make a half decent game no you don't get it when you play this you feel wow i've just been playing playdo these plastic drama infused sope operas going on and on about developing world building and making you connect with the character wow you know where i got the story of this guy steam page. the marketing leaflet if i remember correctly that's how it used to be done no no i'm not saying all games should be done like this but can you see how much garbage is in games these days wow you really are all full of crap making events and points of interest filling the game with 150GB worth of content and lush vistas wow and this is what we're used to and a game that is actually better than 95% of Triple a titles was developed by one guy one guy no you need to stop you need to put you pens down and stop writing you need to ask yourself what are you doing with your lives and seriously think about it before you write the design brief for the next game you decide to throw at us no ask your self life huh what's the point no i'm serious cos i can't believe what i'm seeing here for the past 20 years none of you have come close to this with all you expos and speches this guy is handing it too you in spades anyway i'm done buy this game you have too in alot of ways this is the only video game on steam. !0/10
Obvious Returnal clone that if indeed made by one person, is quite impressive. Of course low budget and it shows, but most things work just fine, and it almost feature to feature identical to Returnal. Does have difficulty settings and proper saving it seems, plus the story may be better than Returnal's. Janky but not bad.
Absolutely amazing game. Stunning visuals, smooth optimisation (works perfectly on epic settings), very nice movement and everything is just so smooth. So glad this game exists!!! Просто офигенная игра, замечательный визуальный сеттинг, отличная оптимизация, всё работает на эпик-настройке. Геймплей приносит одно лишь удовольствие, очень рад что такая игра есть и очень надеюсь на руссификацию в будущем.
