Corrupted Paradise

I guess what follows will be a bit mean, but this fell short of what I thought were relatively mild expectations. To start, I think it's worth finishing in my spare time, but I'm not sure I would've bought it had I known what I know now. Incomplete English translation, and what is translated comes across as stilted, overly formal, and unbelievable. By incomplete, I mean that here and there is a word or passage that's French - ok, not a deal breaker, but it annoyed me. I mean, context lets me know that "chuchote" means "whispering," but if the rest of the sentence is in English, why did you leave chuchote? Is this a French pride thing? Did you just *have* to have as much French as possible in the English translation? Obviously, it is much more likely that the leftover French was just overlooked in the editing process, but it's one of several examples and shows how rusty the writing feels. The scenes rush by with no real depth at all. Kind of "one, two, skip of a few, 99 we're ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥" sort of deal. I mean, one of the characters propositions you at your first meeting. Playing hard to get is fun... Which, given that the visuals are pretty good, both static and animated, the fast pace means that if the story doesn't matter to you, the game will thankfully get you to where you want to go relatively quickly. But the AVN presents itself as a mystery thriller, and while those elements are certainly present, the investigation feels frustrating. At one point, you have to find a key. So what do you do? You go around asking people if they have or know where you can get the key. You're looking for someone? You go around asking people if they've seen someone. This is a bit tedious and dull. It's a mystery thriller sans thrill. The characters have characteristics but not a lot of compelling reasons to find out what they are. The map-style gameplay is worth mentioning. I normally don’t like maps in AVNs because they create narrative friction and are boring (just a bunch of clicking to get places - just take me to the action). The map works here, though, because of the mystery elements. Choosing where to go and when seems to help determine what information you get and how you get it, and that’s cool. But, as stated above, most of the investigating seems to consist of banal tactics – some light snooping and lying coupled with blatantly asking people about what you’re looking for. So the map is cool, but it doesn’t seem like much happens once you get to where you’re going. The narrator is poorly written. “They kiss as only girls can…” This adds nothing to the scene because girls kiss in a bunch of different ways. Some with tongue, some with not. Some give a light peck, others chomp down. This is just one of the ways the narrator makes inane, largely unnecessary statements, but it is perhaps the most egregious. If you’re going to force feed me a description of what I’m literally seeing right in front of me, at least use it to add some quality that only words can… I mean, there are other examples. “Will I be able to insure?” Insure what? Your car? Your house? These kinds of errors are minor but compound over time, ensuring that my reading pleasure is limited. [spoiler]And at one point of penetration, a female interest says “I can smell it!” What? That…no. You shouldn’t. I really hope she meant "feel it."[/spoiler] Having played and for the most part enjoyed their previous title (Training Lucie), I thought this would be better than it is. It’s not the worst title, but it falls a bit short.

Review: It's not the best, but it is sexy Pro: - It's not graphically modern, but it is graphically good. - Women are varied and choices matter how to get into their panties. - You can corrupt the MC girl or make her an angel - You can corrupt the MC guy or make him an angel - Mini games are not bad but not the best still they are ok. - Sounds during sex were not too bad Cons: - Sex scenes are hot to a point, but then fall off compared to other games. - Too many still images for many sex scenes - Story is not sandboxed, and yet you have a map to explore. - Once your done with a character they become non-interactive. - Sounds during sex would drop off at times and pick up at times. All in all, it is a sexy experience. and hopefully the developer keeps evolving. Look at Seven Realms - High Lathion for inspiration on how to use camera angles to extend scenes without needing too much animations.

I was only able to win the fight with Pablo using macros. Why do that in an erotic game? Are we nerds?

This AVN has good rendering quality . The story itself while a unique concept idea fell short on content . Too few characters in the game and the story length was very short. Since it's not in an early access stage it doesn't appear to have additional content in the works.

Nice game with some hot scenes. Not the typical AVN fare you get in the adult genre, something different. There is searching for clues, finding hidden objects, a few QTE, and some special "achievments" for those who pay attention. Hot lewd scenes are the icing on the cake. I like the guide, it was helpful.
